Fabio Sciurpi has been a researcher of building physics in the Department of Architecture (DIDA), University of Florence, Italy, since 2001, where he is lecturer in several courses on the same topic; he holds a PhD in building physics. His research activity mainly focuses on energy saving and sustainability in buildings, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, thermal properties of materials, preservation of works of art, energy efficiency in historical buildings, low-energy buildings and Passivhaus, environmental monitoring, renewable energies, and building simulations. On these topics, he is the co-author of three books and more than 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications (journals and conferences) and book chapters.
