The electrical transport properties of the peSb 2 S 3 /n-Si heterojunctions were investigated by currentevoltage (IeV) and capacitanceevoltage (CeV) measurements. The temperature-dependent IeV characteristics revealed that the forward conduction was determined by multi-step tunnelling current and the activation energy of saturation current was about 0.54 eV. The 1/C 2 eV plots indicated the junction was abrupt and the junction built-in potential was 0.6 V at room temperature and decreased with increasing temperature. The solar cell parameters have been calculated for the fabricated cell as V oc ¼ 0.50 V, J sc ¼ 14.53 mA cm À2 , FF ¼ 0.32 and h ¼ 4.65% under an illumination of 50 mW cm À2 .

Nickel–phthalocyanine (NiPc) thin film was prepared by thermal evaporation method on n-Si single-crystal substrate to fabricate p-NiPc/n-Si heterojunction. The electrical transport properties of the p-NiPc/n-Si heterojunctions were investigated by temperature-dependent current–voltage (I–V) measurements and room temperature capacitance–voltage (C–V) measurements. The temperature-dependent I–V characteristics revealed that the forward conduction was determined by thermionic-emission and space-charge-limited current (SCLC) mechanisms at low and high voltage, respectivelyU On the other hand, the reverse current is limited by the carrier generation process. The 1/C 2 –V plot indicated the junction was abrupt and the junction built-in potential was 0.61 V at room temperature.

Many unwanted by-products containing several hazardous dyes are found in wastewater produced from the manufacturing units, such as printing, leather, paper, textiles, cosmetics, etc. Especial attention is given to overcome this problem, using different treatment methods and adsorbents. From the tree leaves of the neem (Azadirachta indica), an adsorbent was developed, characterized, and used for Methylene Blue (MB) elimination from wastewater. The area of the adsorbent surface, pore volume, and average pore width were found to be 58.6 m2/g, 0.106 cm3/g, and 13.8 Å, respectively. The adsorption behavior of MB using the modified powder of neem leaves was investigated under different experimental conditions. The adsorption capacities for MB by chemical modified adsorbent were found to be 370, 434, and 476 mg/g at 298, 313, and 328 K, respectively.
