O National Book Award (em português Prêmio Nacional do Livro ) é - juntamente com o Neustadt International Prize for Literature e o Prémio Pulitzer - um dos mais importantes prêmios literários dos Estados Unidos da América , dado anualmente aos melhores livros escritos por cidadãos norte-americanos vivos. O prêmio é entregue desde 1950 em ao menos uma categoria. Atualmente, existem quatro categorias: ficção, não-ficção, poesia e literatura juvenil. Os vencedores, selecionados em cada categoria por cinco membros - painéis de julgamento independentes - recebem US$ 10,000 e uma escultura de cristal. O prêmio é administrado pela Fundação National Book.
