Abstract

The invention relates to a roller, e.g. a guide roll (1), for transport devices, e.g. shopping trolleys (8) or the like, for use on a conveyor (T) with a longitudinally grooved surface (16), with a running wheel (2) with at least one groove (15) fitted in a fork (3), in which the side surface of the running wheel has a cover plate (20) as a thread-guard and a supporting foot (23), and, to improve the design, proposes that the supporting foot (23) be secured via a non-rotating cover plate (20).
