Abstract
In such an arrangement, the signals should be fed from the outputs of the control system (D) concerned via optocouplers (01, 02, 03) to downstream processing devices only if the control system is operating correctly. At the same time, the optocouplers (01, 02, 03) are supplied with power via a converter (U) to which a characteristic signal is fed which indicates that the control system (D) is working correctly. Like the optocouplers (01, 02, 03) the converter (U) has an electrical separation between the control system (D) and the processing devices. Such devices are used in process computers in technical systems having high safety requirements, for example railway safety systems. <IMAGE>
