N-(1,3-thiazolyl)alkyl-chloracetanilides of the formule see diagramm : EP0009693,P19,F1 in which R**1 represents alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R**2 represents hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R**3 represents hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X**1 represents hydrogen, alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl, X**2 represents hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms and the azolyl radical is bonded via a carbon atom.
