Abstract
In order to provide an accessory for an electric vacuum cleaner that, even though a dust collection mechanism with an inclined pile is applied, can increase the dust suction efficiency through an optimal and ingenious arrangement of the components constituting the accessory at a suction port of the cleaner, the present invention provides an accessory for an electric vacuum cleaner, the accessory suctioning dust by a suction force and being connectable to a cleaner body. The accessory for an electric vacuum cleaner comprises a case body, a dust collection brush unit that is fixed to the case body to collect dust, and a dust removal unit that removes the dust collected by the dust collection brush, wherein: the case body comprises, in an upper surface thereof, an inflow port communicating with the cleaner body, and, in a lower surface thereof, an opening communicating with a cleaning surface; the dust collection brush unit includes an outer peripheral surface formed in an arc shape with a protruding portion provided in an axial direction thereof, the protruding portion defining the outer peripheral surface of the dust collection brush unit into two regions of a front region and a rear region bounded by the protruding portion; a first inclined pile with the tip inclined diagonally upward is provided at least on the outer peripheral surface of the dust collection brush in the front region and the rear region; and the dust removal unit is disposed for each of the front region and the rear region.
