Description
DESCRIPTION
A BUSH WITH BALL PIN
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a bush which is particularly used in suspension systems of vehicles, enables interconnection of structural parts of vehicles mechanically, has a plurality of spring pins, is driven into the bearing where it will fit into by means of a spring pin, and is prevented from being separated from the bearing upon it fits into the holes located corresponding to the pins.
Background of the Invention
Bushes adjustable according to according to the dynamics of the vehicle are used in suspension systems, which is a sub-part of the chassis system in vehicles. The said bushes realize interconnection of structural parts, which are included not only in the suspension system but also in other areas of the vehicle, mechanically. With this connection, they function as a vibration and shock absorber, load carrier and/or transmitter. Bushes also prevent abrasions and noises that may occur on the basis of friction in connections they make with the principal load carriers.
Today, in the event that bushes particularly utilized in suspension systems are used beyond vehicle limits, they are exposed to high loads and wear due to friction and/or dynamic loads. As required by operating logic of bushes, they must be driven into a bearing by means of shrink-fit at the step of interconnection of two different metal parts. It is expected that the bush and its bearing, which are nested together, do not disconnect in cases where the vehicle is exposed to high loads and the rubber parts used in the bush-bearing connection are expected fulfill their long-term duties. However, the bush begins to move within the bearing both because of high loads and due to the fact that rubber parts fail to fulfill their duty
after a certain period of time. This situation leads to attenuation of mechanical connection and also causes the mechanical connection to disconnect or noise to occur.
Therefore, in the state of the art, there is need for a suspension bush which prevents bushes from being separated from the bearing based on abrasion of the connection -that is performed in the structural parts used particularly in suspension systems- and/or dynamic loads and enables to avoid vibration and noise depending on time.
The Korean patent document no. KR20110062009, an application included in the state of the art, discloses a bush mounting structure. With the said bush mounting structure, it is aimed to ensure replacement of bushes easily and to enhance the durability of a bush by decreasing the load applied to the bush. Therefore, the bush configuration -which is subject to the Korean patent document- comprises a bush bearing, a bush and a structure which will enable the bush to rotate on the bush bearing. A protrusion is included on the bush so that the bush can rotate on the bush bearing and a guide slot wherein the protrusion will get in is included on the bush bearing. It is also disclosed in the Korean patent document that the protrusion has a mobile structure on the bush and it is pushed towards the bush bearing by means of a spring included in the slot.
The Korean patent document no. KR20170077958 A, another application included in the state of the art, discloses a coupled torsion beam axle for vehicles. It is disclosed that the said torsion beam comprises a bush and a mounting bearing wherein the bush is embedded, in addition to multiple components it has. The mounting bearing comprises at least one mounting hole and the said mounting holes are inserted into designated protrusions. Thereby, the bush is fixed to the bush bearing. Elastic members are included in the openings where the protrusions are located on the bush in order that the protrusions, which are included on the bush, can be pushed towards the bush bearing.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a bush which is used in suspension systems of vehicles, enables interconnection of structural parts mechanically, has a plurality of spring pins, is inserted into the bearing where it will fit into by means of the said spring pin, wherein locking is performed upon it fits into the openings located corresponding to the pins, and whereby it is prevented from being separated from the bearing.

The inventive bush (1) which enables to interconnect parts by being used during interconnection of structural parts, particularly mechanical parts included in suspension and chassis system, of vehicles and to realize locking by means of pins located on itself comprises: at least one body (2) which enables to realize connection of structural parts used in suspension and chassis systems of vehicles and which contains at least one housing (3) on itself; at least one pin (4) which moves inside the housing (3) by means of a spring that is included in the housing (3) located on the body (2); and at least one bearing (5) wherein the body (2) is inserted in order to realize connection of structural parts used in suspension and chassis systems of vehicles and which has at least one hole (6) such that it will correspond to each pin (4) located on the body (2).
The body (2) included in the inventive bush (1) has dimensions such that it will correspond to the bearing (5) wherein it will be inserted in suspension and/or chassis system of vehicles and it contains a plurality of housings (3) wherein the spring pins (4) will be inserted on itself. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the body (2) has a cylindrical structure. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the housing (3) wherein the pins (4) can move is six in number on the body (2) and there is equal distance between thereof. The said housings (3) are located on the body (2) such that they will make an angle of 60 degrees with each other.
The pin (4) included in the inventive bush (1) is located on the body (2), fit into the housing (3) whereto it corresponds, and consists of at least one spring and at least one ball. The pin (4) comprises a spring used for its connection to the body (2) and enables it to move on the on body (2), on its one end and a ball used for its connection to the bearing (5), on its other end. The ball moves when the pin (4) tries to push the spring. The spring pin (4) realizes the mechanical connection by enabling the ball of the bearing (5) to enter the body (2) upon it corresponds to the
hole (6) located on the bearing (5) while the body (2) is fit into the bearing (5), and it locks the body (2) to the bearing (5). Thereby, the body (2) ensures that the ball located at the end of the spring pin (4) -that is fixed on the body (2)- is pushed to the hole (6) located on the bearing (5) and locks the mechanical connection such that it will enable the ball to remain inside the bearing (5).
The bearing (5) included in the inventive bush (1) has dimensions such that they will correspond to the body (2) to be locked in itself so as to ensure that mechanical connection of parts included in a vehicle suspension and/or chassis system is realized. The bearing (5) contains the hole (6) that is located on the part where connection of the body (2) will be realized on the bearing (5) and such that it will correspond to each spring pin (4). Thereby, it is ensured that mechanical connection is completed by enabling each spring pin (4) to fit into the bearing (5).
The inventive bush (1) is a suspension bush which is used in the suspension system of vehicles and enables to realize camber link connection in particular.
Industrial Application of the Invention
The body (2) included in the inventive bush (1) has a cylindrical structure and it enables to realize mechanical connection on the parts included in a suspension and/or chassis system. The body (2) comprises ball pins (4) which are preferably located such that they are at equal distance with one another and each of them is inserted into the housings (3). The spring pin (4) consists of at least one spring and a ball located at the end of the spring. The spring pin (4) is fixed to the housing (3) from its end where there is no ball. The body (2) is driven into by being fit into the bearing (5) located on the part, with a shape of camber link, that is included in the suspension and/or chassis system. On the bearing (5) surface contacting the body (2), there is a hole (6) such that it will correspond to each spring pin (4) located on the body (2). While the body (2) is driven into the bearing (5), the spring of the spring pin (4) shrinks and the pin (4) enters the
housing (3) together with the ball and then, upon the ball corresponds to the holes (6) in the bearing (5), it is ensured that mechanical connection is realized between the body (2) and the bearing (5) by pushing the spring pin (4) towards the hole. Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive “Bush with Ball Pin (1)”; the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
