Description

COMPOSITION ENABLING THE ELIMINATION OF MALODOR AND HAVING THE PROPERTY OF DISINFECTING THE AREA WHERE IT IS APPLIED
Subject of the Invention
The invention relates to a composition, which disinfects the skin while at the same time enabling the elimination of malodor and providing a long-term refreshing sensation to the user.
State of the Art
The skin is the part of the human body that is most exposed to the pathogens like virus and bacteria and to the contaminants during a day. Ensuring the hygiene of the skin, which serves the function of a barrier between the external environment and the internal organs/systems, is of great importance in order to protect the body health. The people clean their skin with cleansers and purifiers such as soap, disinfectant and cologne during the day in order to reduce to risk of development of any disorder on or under the skin.
Even though they are quite effective cleansers, the use of soap and similar products requires water. In other words, it is not possible to achieve the hygiene using the soap in cases where the user does not have immediate access to water or in cases of urgent need. For this reason, the colognes and disinfectants are among the cleansers and purifiers most preferred in daily life. Said products are alcohol-based and, since they do not require rinsing and hence involve no need for water and at the same time provide ease of use, they are commonly preferred by the users. Moreover, these liquids have a quite volatile nature due to their alcohol content. The feeling of wetness they cause entirely disappears in a very short time after the use and the user does not experience any discomfort despite not having performed any drying action.
The cologne compositions usually comprise ethyl alcohol, pure water and essence. The essences used in the compositions are most of the time the ingredients with high volatility providing the fragrance and/or refreshing effect only for a very short time and they do not suppress the malodor on the skin and/or in the ambience. However, the odors originating from the body such as smell of sweat, foul breath and smelly flatulence; the odors originating from the foods such as fried food, soot, fish, onion and garlic; smells of pets; and the odors originating from the environmental sources such as smoke, cigarette, mold and trash are frequently experienced in daily life and the individuals become permeated with these odors in a short time. The state of the art lacks a product, which, besides enabling cleansing/disinfection, suppresses these odors and provides longterm fragrance and refreshing for the individuals after they are exposed to such odors.
The need has arisen to carry out an innovation in the related art in order to solve the problems mentioned above. With the present invention, a composition, which disinfects the skin while at the same time enabling the elimination of malodor and providing a longterm refreshing sensation to the user, is developed.
Object of the Invention
An object of the invention is to develop a composition, which suppresses and diminishes the effect of malodor and provides the user a pleasant smell.
Another object of the invention is to develop a composition, which provides a long-term refreshing sensation to the user.
Another object of the invention is to develop a composition, which disinfects the skin.
The structural and characteristic features and all the advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood owing to the detailed description provided below. Accordingly, the evaluation should be made taking this detailed description into consideration.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a composition, which disinfects the skin while at the same time enabling the elimination of malodor and providing a long-term refreshing sensation to the user.
In this detailed description, the preferred alternatives of the composition according to the invention and the method for obtaining said composition are explained in a way only enabling a better understanding of the subject matter and not leading to any limiting effect.
The products such as cologne used for the purpose of disinfection are generally produced as 70 - 80 degrees depending on the percentage of alcohol they contain. In general terms, a developed standard disinfectant product comprises 65 - 80% by weight alcohol, 20 - 25% by weight pure water and 1 - 5% by weight essence.
Said composition is a refreshing composition, which disinfects the skin while at the same time eliminating the malodor originating from the user themselves and/or from the ambience where the user is present.
The alcohol-based product obtained with the composition developed within the scope of the invention is preferably, but not limited to, a cologne. Said cologne compositions are preferably 70 or 80 degrees.
The composition according to the invention comprises in its most basic form at least one type of water, at least one type of alcohol and at least one type of essence. Said composition is intended to control the malodor by masking the same and provide a longterm refreshing sensation to the user. For this purpose, the essence used within the scope of the invention comprises at least one type of fragrance in the top note, at least one type of fragrance in the middle note and at least one type of fragrance in the base note. The top note is the strong and salient part perceived when the essence is first smelled and comprises the chemicals and natural substances with small molecules that are highly volatile. The middle note is the part reflecting the characteristic scent of the essence. This note is formed by the essence components with medium volatility that constitute the theme of the essence. The middle note that becomes more pronounced after the top notes evaporate does not have an evaporation rate as high as those of the substances comprised in the top note. The base note brings permanence and depth to the essence. The chemicals and natural ethereal oils and resinoid oils having large molecules with low volatility are generally included in the base note. By the use of the ingredients with different molecular size and different volatility, the permanence of the essence is enhanced and the user is enabled to suppress the malodor with pleasant smells for a longer time.
The essences comprising different fragrances of different molecular size were prepared according to the above-mentioned differences of base note, middle note and top note. Table 1 provides the ingredients of 8 different essences in a manner categorized according to the notes they contain. The letter E in the first column in the table refers to the essence and the digits 1 through 8 in the first column represent the number of the sample prepared.

The cologne compositions are prepared by combining the essences prepared according to the table above with different quantities of alcohol depending on whether the composition desired to be obtained is 70 or 80 degrees. The alcohol preferably used within the scope of the invention is, but not limited to, ethyl alcohol.
The composition developed within the scope of the invention preferably comprises 67 - 80% by weight alcohol. A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises 75 - 80% by weight alcohol.
In addition to alcohol and essence, the composition according to the invention comprises at least one type of water. It is possible to use any kind of water in the composition and the pure water is used as water in a preferred embodiment of the invention. A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises 19 - 24% by weight water.
The essences prepared according to the fragrances provided in Table 1 are weighed in certain proportions according to the alcohol degree and are mixed with alcohol and water. The composition developed within the scope of the invention preferably comprises 1 - 5% by weight essence.
The ingredients of the cologne obtained with the essence examples given in Table 1 are provided in Table 2. The values stated in the table are in weight percentage, the letter K in the first row refers to respective composition and the digits 1 through 8 in the first row represent the number of the sample prepared.
