Definitions
- the present invention relates to a supporting beam for a formwork panel.
- supporting props are rested on the floor with, at the ends, supporting heads for beams for supporting formwork panels to be arranged side by side in a coplanar manner.
- supporting beams are widespread which comprise a longitudinally extended profiled element with two vertical parallel faces with respect to the installation position and two transverse portions, one of which is an upper portion designed to support a formwork panel, the other one being a lower portion with slot-like openings.
- a pair of parallel platelike elements, between which a transverse rod is provided, is fixed with rivets, to the parallel faces.
- a plate-like element is welded in front of the ends.
- the supporting heads to be used with such beams can be of the falling head type, which are adapted to be removed from below after the concrete casting, or of the fixed type.
- the head comprises two plates which are arranged mirror-symmetrically and laterally adjacent to opposite sides of a post which is fixed to the upper end of the prop.
- the plates have recesses for the resting of the ends of the beams.
- a same falling head of this type constitutes the resting element for the ends of two contiguous supporting beams, arranged opposite to the post.
- the beam end rests on the head by means of the transverse rod to be positioned so that it rests in the recesses of the plates and by means of the plate-like element, to be rested laterally to the post installed on the prop.
- Two contiguous supporting beams which rest on opposite sides of a same post face each other with a space between them equal to at least the thickness of the post.
- the spacing produces an empty space between two contiguous panels mounted on top of said beams, which typically is filled by means of a filling element, on top of the post, which is adapted to prevent the falling of concrete during casting.
- the fixed supporting heads have a resting part for the beam with upward protrusions, which are sometimes contoured and are adapted to be inserted in the slots provided in the lower part of the beam.
- the fixed supporting heads can be used for resting a single supporting beam, proximate to the end thereof or in an intermediate region, close to a similar contiguous beam in order to position contiguous panels which are mutually in contact in an upper region.
- the beams of the described type therefore, are not free from drawbacks, such as the fact that they cannot be mounted with the ends resting on supporting heads of the fixed type.
- the platelike elements present at the ends of two contiguous beams would prevent their approach, causing a spacing also between the formwork panels, which in this case cannot be filled by means of a filling element, due to the absence of the post.
- the aim of the present invention is to provide a supporting beam for a formwork panel that is capable of improving the background art in one or more of the aspects mentioned above.
- an object of the invention is to provide a supporting beam that can be arranged so that the ends rest on supporting heads of the falling type and also of the fixed type, in this last case ensuring the positioning of contiguous panels mutually in contact so that the concrete being cast cannot fall between them.
- a further object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the background art in a manner that is alternative to any existing solutions.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a beam that is highly reliable, relatively easy to provide and at competitive costs.
- a supporting beam for a formwork panel comprising a longitudinally extended profiled element and characterized in that a removable plate-like element is provided in front of at least one end of said profiled element.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the beam according to the invention.
- Figure 2 is another perspective and partially exploded view of the beam according to the invention.
- Figure 3 is an enlarged-scale view of the beam according to the invention.
- Figure 4 is a view of an application of the beam according to the invention.
- Figure 5 is a view of another application of the beam according to the invention.
- the beam according to the invention generally designated by the reference numeral 10, comprises a longitudinally extended profiled element 11 and a removable plate-like element 12 is provided in front of at least one end of the profiled element 11.
- the plate-like element 12 is fixed to the rest of the beam 10 preferably by virtue of fixing means 13, which comprise at least one screw 14 or preferably two as in the case shown.
- the screws 14 pass through the plate-like element 12 at adapted through holes 15 provided on said element.
- the profiled element 11 has a pair of parallel faces 16, which are vertical with respect to the installation position of the beam 10, between which a perforated element 17 is provided, which is integral with the profiled element 11 and in which the screws 14 can be tightened.
- the profiled element 11 is substantially formed by the two parallel faces 16, by a first transverse portion 18a, designed for the resting of a formwork panel 19 (as shown in Figure 4 and Figure 5), and by a second lower transverse portion 18b with slots (not visible in the figures shown).
- the plate-like element 12 has, on the part for fixing to the perforated element 17, a protrusion 20 suitable to enter an adapted corresponding seat 21 of the first transverse portion 18a.
- the beam 10 comprises a pair of plate-like elements 22 which are parallel on a vertical plane, with respect to the installation position of said beam 10, and protrude at the ends of the profiled element 11 from the two parallel faces 16 with which they are rendered integral by means of rivets 23 and in a per se known manner.
- the two plate-like elements 22 are part of a single element which is bent into an inverted U-shape and is positioned between the two parallel faces 16 and to which the perforated element 17 is welded.
- transverse rod 24 designed to rest on recesses provided on the supporting heads 25 and 26 shown in the following Figures 4 and 5.
- Figure 5 shows the use of a beam 10 according to the invention with the use of a supporting head 25 of the falling type, installed on top of a prop 27 with a post 28, fixed to the upper end of said prop 27.
- the falling head 25 of a per se known type, comprises a pair of plates 29 which are arranged mirror- symmetrically and are laterally adjacent to opposite sides of the post 28.
- the plates 29 have recesses for the resting of the ends of the beams 10, particularly of the rod 24.
- a same falling head 25 allows the end resting of two contiguous beams 10, arranged on opposite sides with respect to the post 28.
- the installation of the beams 10 on the falling head 25 occurs in a per se known manner: the beams 10 are arranged so that the rods 24 rest in the recesses of the plates 29 and so that the platelike elements 12 rest on opposite sides of the post 28.
- the presence of the post 28 and of the two elements 12, at the respective ends of the two beams 10, produces a significant spacing of the profiled elements 11 of the beams 10 and consequently the spacing of the overlying panels 19.
- the space between the panels 19 is filled with an adapted filling element 30 in order to prevent the fall of concrete during casting or in any case until curing has occurred.
- the plate-like element 12 has been removed from the two beams 10 shown, which rest, at their ends, on a supporting head 26 of the fixed type.
- the head 26, also of a known type, has projections 31 which extend upward from the comers of an imaginary square and are shaped so as to form recesses in which the two contiguous beams 10 rest with the respective rods 24.
- the two beams 10 according to the invention are closer to each other, allowing the placement thereon of panels 19 which are contiguous and in mutual contact, so as to prevent the concrete from falling between them during casting.
- the beam is evident from what has been described and illustrated and in particular it is evident that the beam can be used usually with heads of the falling type, maintaining the fixing of the plate-like element, and also with heads of the fixed type, simply by removing the plate-like element.
- the invention achieves the intended aim and objects, providing a supporting beam for form work panels that can be positioned with the ends resting on supporting heads both of the falling type and of the fixed type, in this last case also ensuring the positioning of contiguous panels mutually in contact.
- the invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; all the details may furthermore be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.
- the materials used so long as they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to the requirements and the state of the art.
