- the search instruction is a confirmation instruction triggered by the control device for the search control displayed on the display device.
- the control device can be a remote control device, a keyboard and other devices that can control the display device.
- a main page may be displayed, and the main page includes a search control.
- the control device includes a direction key and a confirmation key.
- the display device can receive the search instruction, and after that, the display device can display the search page.
- the selector can be a cursor corresponding to the control device.
- the main page as shown in FIG. 7 may be displayed, where the main page includes: a search control 701, and multiple media asset controls, navigation bars, and the like.
- the navigation bar includes multiple channel controls, such as "news”, “movies", “children” and so on.
- it may also include a sub-navigation bar, where the sub-navigation bar contains different sub-channel controls when displaying different channels, such as "featured", “knowledge", “custom” and other sub-channel controls, which can be displayed on the screen.
- the sub-navigation bar is displayed on the side of the. After the user enters a specific channel, the user can quickly locate the media assets they want to watch through the sub-navigation bar.
- the media asset control can include display controls for displaying media asset 1 or media asset 2, and can also include operation controls for "historical records" and "my collection”.
- the display device displays the main page
- the position of the selector is corresponding to the search control 701
- the selection operation is performed on the confirmation key of the control device
- the search command can also be triggered by a preset search button or voice command.
- the display device after the display device receives the search instruction, it can display the search page as shown in FIG. 8, where the search page includes: a search bar control 801, multiple character controls 802, a history control 803, and popular searches Control 804, control control 805.
- the search bar control is used to display the characters corresponding to the virtual keys selected by the user, and the character control is used to display the characters that the user needs to input. In some embodiments, it may be a full-character virtual keyboard or a non-full-character virtual keyboard.
- the history control is used to display the characters searched by the user, the popular search control is used to display recommended media data, and the control control is used to control the switching of the virtual keyboard or the characters displayed in the search bar control 801.
- a search instruction containing embedded characters is sent to the server.
- the search instruction is a confirmation instruction for the search control received when the selector is at the position of the search control.
- the confirmation instruction refers to the confirmation key value generated by the remote control triggering the confirmation key.
- the confirmation command generated by the confirmation key is triggered by the remote control.
- the second instruction may be another instruction generated by the remote control triggering other keys.
- Step 602 The display device receives the input first instruction.
- the first instruction refers to a confirmation instruction for the target character control triggered by the control device, where the target character control is one character control among a plurality of character controls.
- the default position of the selector corresponds to a character control among multiple character controls, that is, when the user does not perform a selection operation on the arrow keys of the control device, the target The character corresponding to the character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display device starts to display the search page.
- the current time when the first instruction is received can be determined. After that, the display device may subtract the time when the display device starts to display the search page from the current time to obtain the difference between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page.
- the current time may be the time corresponding to the clock system of the display device when the first instruction is received. In some embodiments, the current time may also be the world time when the first instruction is received. Based on the time when the page is displayed, it is possible to better distinguish whether the user is used to input characters according to the picture or repeat the intention of confirming the previous command.
- the display device can also obtain the time when the search instruction is received, and use this time as the time when the display device starts to display the search page.
- the time when the display device starts to display the search page may be the time corresponding to the clock system of the display device when the search instruction is received.
- the time when the display device starts to display the search page may also be the world when the search instruction is received. time.
- the display device may subtract the time when the display device starts to display the search page from the current time, so that the difference between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page is 4 seconds.
- the time difference may be the difference between the current time and the preset reference time.
- the preset reference time may be the time when the search instruction is received or the time when the search interface is displayed, or it may be any point in time between when the instruction is received and the search interface is displayed.
- the display device receives the second instruction
- the preset operation corresponding to the second instruction is executed, and the second instruction refers to instructions other than the first instruction.
- the display device when the display device detects a second instruction other than the first instruction, it means that when the selector is in the default position, the user has not performed a selection operation on the confirmation key of the control device. Instead, it performs a selection operation for other keys on the control device, such as arrow keys, number keys, and so on. At this time, the user is moving the position of the selector, that is, changing the character corresponding to the selector to select the character to be input. In this way, the display device can directly respond to the received second instruction and execute the preset corresponding to the second instruction. Set up operation.
- the second instruction may be another instruction other than the first instruction.
- the display device may first determine whether the user inputs the first instruction or the second instruction, and then execute the time difference judgment when the first instruction is executed, and directly respond to the second instruction when the second instruction is executed, without making the time difference judgment.
- the time difference is judged first, and the corresponding operation is directly executed when the time difference meets the requirements.
- the time difference does not meet the requirements, it is distinguished whether it is the first instruction or the second instruction.
- the instruction does not perform the corresponding operation, and if it is the second instruction, the operation corresponding to the second instruction is executed.
- Step 603 When the difference between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page is greater than the reference response time length, the display device displays the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
- the difference can be compared with the reference response time, and then according to the result of the comparison, it is determined whether to set the target The character corresponding to the character control is displayed in the search bar control.
- the display device can obtain the reference response time before displaying the search page.
- the reference response duration is not stored in the display device.
- the display device can obtain the reference response duration from the server and store the reference response duration . In this way, when the display device is not turned on for the first time, the reference response duration is stored in the display device, that is, the stored reference response duration can be directly obtained.
- the reference response time length may also be determined according to the operation history of correctly completing the first character entry after displaying the search interface in the operation history of the display device.
- the display device can record the time difference between when the search page is displayed and the first character is displayed in the search bar control, that is, the time difference between when the search page is displayed and when the user correctly enters the first character.
- the display device can acquire a preset number of operation histories, and determine the average time difference of the multiple operation histories according to the multiple operation histories and the preset number, and use the average time difference as the reference response time length.
- the display device detects the first instruction and search If the time interval of the instruction is longer, it can be determined that the selection operation performed by the user on the search control is longer than the time interval between the selection operation performed by the user on the target character control. Since the time interval between inertial operations is usually short, it is very likely that the selection operation performed by the user for the target character control was not performed due to the user's inertial operation, that is, the first command received by the display device It is very likely that it is not triggered by the user's inertial operation. At this time, the character corresponding to the target character control is the character that the user wants to input, and the display device can display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
- the display device determines that the difference is greater than the reference response time, as shown in FIG. 9, you can Display the character "P" in the search bar control.
- the display device displays the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control
- the reference response time can be updated in response to the third instruction.
- the third instruction is a delete instruction for the target character displayed in the search bar control triggered by the control device.
- the display device may replace the reference response time length with the difference value, thereby obtaining the updated reference response time length, and store the updated reference response time length.
- the time interval of each user's inertial operation is different, even if the difference is greater than or equal to the reference response time, there is still a possibility that the first command received by the display device is triggered by the user's inertial operation .
- the display device receives the third instruction, it means that the first instruction received by the display device is triggered by the user's inertial operation, and the reference response time can be determined for the user's inertial operation of the display device
- the time interval is relatively short, so that the reference response time can be updated to make the reference response time more suitable for the user of the display device.
- the display device displays the character "P" in the search bar control
- the third instruction is received.
- the display device can replace the reference response time with the difference value. , Get the updated reference response time as 4s, and store it.
- the time length threshold is stored in the display device.
- the reference response time length can be added to the time length threshold value to obtain the updated reference response time length, and the updated reference response time length is stored.
- the time detection is only performed at the time of the display interface. After the preset time period is exceeded or the user inputs the second instruction, the timing detection is cancelled, and the judgment of the time difference is no longer performed to directly respond to the user's input.
- the duration threshold is 1s
- the display device displays the character "P" in the search bar control
- the third instruction is received.
- the display device can add the reference response to the duration threshold. , Get the updated reference response time as 4s, and store it.
- the display device may record the difference value corresponding to each time the target character is displayed in the search bar control when a delete operation is detected. In this case, when the number of the stored multiple difference values reaches the update threshold, the display device may obtain the stored multiple difference values to determine the reference response time length according to the multiple difference values and the update threshold. In some embodiments, the average difference of the multiple differences may be used as the reference response time length. Optionally, the maximum value of the multiple differences may also be used as the reference response time length. Make a limit.
- the display device may receive the third instruction, and as shown in FIG. 10, delete the target character displayed in the search bar control.
- the search page in response to receiving the search command, is displayed within the preset response time after the execution does not respond to the user's confirmation operation of the character control at the default focus position, but responds to other operations, such as controlling the direction of focus movement Key instructions, return instructions to exit the display interface, voice key instructions to trigger voice operations, etc.
- the display device responds to all input commands.
- the target character control at the default position is determined to be output in the search bar or not to be output in the search bar. If the selector is no longer in the default position, the display device has received the arrow key value, causing the position of the selector to move. This is different from the user's previous operation to enter the search interface (entering the search interface requires a confirmation operation, in some implementations) In the example, the corresponding user presses the button corresponding to the confirmation operation, such as the confirmation key or the OK key), so there will be no false triggering. The confirmation operation can be performed directly, the corresponding characters are displayed in the search bar and the search request is triggered to the server.
- this is the received confirmation operation. It may be that the user wants to trigger the target character control, that is, the character at the default position is the character that the user needs to input, or it may be after confirming and entering the search interface Misoperation triggered unintentionally after confirming the operation, so it needs to be limited by the preset response time.
- the type of the received instruction can be distinguished first, and then the first instruction is judged for the preset response time, and the other instructions are directly responded; for the first instruction, if it is preset After the response time is long, it will respond directly. If the selector is still in the default position within the preset response time, it will not be displayed in the search bar if it is, and it will be displayed if it is no longer.
- the type of the received instruction can be distinguished first, and then the first instruction is judged on the position of the selector, and the other instructions are directly responded; if the default position is no longer the default position, the response is directly. If it is in the default position, it is necessary to determine whether the response time is preset. If it is, it will not be displayed in the search bar. If it is not, it will be displayed in the search bar.
- the user may first determine the preset response time after receiving the instruction, and then distinguish the first instruction from the second instruction when the user receives the instruction, and then perform the default position for the first instruction. Judging, the second command responds directly; if it is in the default location, it will not be displayed in the search bar, and if it is not in the default location, it will be displayed.
- the user can first determine the preset response time after receiving the instruction, respond directly after the preset response time, and then determine the default location when the preset response time is within the preset response time; if the user is in the default location It is necessary to distinguish whether it is the first command or the second command. If it is no longer in the default position, respond directly; the first command in the default position is not displayed in the search bar, and the second command in the default position is responded to.
- the user may first determine the default location after receiving the instruction, and then determine the preset response time when the user is in the default location, and respond directly when the default location is no longer; if it is within the preset response time, it is required
- the first command and the second command are distinguished, if the response time is preset, the command response is directly performed; the differentiated first command is not displayed in the search bar, and the differentiated second command responds directly.
- the user may first determine the default position after receiving the instruction, and then distinguish the first instruction from the second instruction when the default position is the default position, and respond directly when the default position is no longer; the second instruction after the distinction is made
- the distinguished first command requires the judgment of the preset response time; if the response time is preset, the response to the command is directly performed; if it is within the preset response time, it is not displayed in the search bar.
- the preset response duration may be a pre-configured duration. It can be generated automatically or configured manually.

- the character corresponding to the target character control is displayed in the search bar control.
- the difference is less than the reference response time length, it means that the time interval between the current time and the time when the display device starts to display the search page is shorter, that is, the time interval between the display device detecting the first command and the search command is shorter.
- the character corresponding to the target character control is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the search page starts to be displayed, the selection operation performed by the user for the search control can be determined, and the time interval between the selection operation performed by the user for the target character control is shorter. short.
- the selection operation performed by the user on the target character control is likely to be performed due to the user's inertial operation, that is, the first instruction received by the display device is triggered by the user's inertial operation, and the target character control
- the corresponding character is probably not the character that the user wants to input. Therefore, the display device may not display the character corresponding to the target character control in the search bar control.
- the display device can set the target character control to the The characters are displayed in the search bar control.
- the following content applies the method for determining search characters provided in the embodiments of the present application to a display device for complete description.
- the display device when the display device is started for the first time, it can send a reference response duration acquisition request to the server. After the server receives the reference response duration acquisition request, it can send the reference response duration to the display device. After the display device receives the reference response duration returned by the server, it can store the reference response duration locally. After that, the display device can obtain the stored reference response duration locally before displaying the search page. In some embodiments, the display device may also obtain the operation history of correctly completing the first character entry after displaying the search interface in the operation history of the display device, and then determine the reference response time length according to the operation history.

- the user can perform a selection operation on the arrow keys of the control device to move the position of the selector to the search control, and then perform a selection operation on the confirmation key of the control device.
- the display device can receive the search instruction and respond to the search instruction
- the search page is displayed, and the time when the search instruction is received is recorded, and the time is taken as the time when the search page starts to be displayed.
- the search page includes a search bar control and multiple character controls.
- the display device After the search page is displayed, if the display device receives the first instruction, it is a confirmation instruction for the target character control triggered by the user through the control device, where the target character control is one character control among multiple character controls. At this time, the display device can determine the current time and determine the difference between the current time and the time when the search page starts to be displayed. When the difference is less than the reference response time, it can determine the character corresponding to the target character control. If the target character control When the corresponding character is the character corresponding to the default position of the selector when the display device starts to display the search page, the character corresponding to the target character control will not be displayed in the search bar control. If the character corresponding to the target character control is not displayed on the display device When searching the page for the character corresponding to the default position of the selector, the character corresponding to the target character control is displayed in the search bar control.
