Abstract

This disclosure describes various non aqueous topical formulations, which can be adapted for use in a variety of forms (e.g., concentrates, serums, chemical peeling solutions, rinse-off masks, creams, emulsions, etc) for cosmetic use, for application to address dermatological conditions, and/or for use in reducing the appearance of chronological and/or environmentally-caused skin aging. The non aqueous topical formulations of this disclosure include: 1) stabilizing vitamin C formulations, 2) vitamin C chemical peeling formulations, 3) vitamin C and sugar alcohol formulations, 4) anhydrous urea emulsions, and 5) anhydrous azelaic acid formulations, which are described below in greater detail. These topical formulations can be adapted for use in a variety of forms (e.g., concentrates, serums, chemical peeling solutions, rinse-off masks, creams, emulsions, etc) for cosmetic use, for application to address dermatological conditions, and/or for use in reducing the appearance of chronological and/or environmentally-caused skin aging.
