Abstract

The invention relates to a thermal vest consisting of a garment intended to be placed over normal clothing or under a jacket or coat, to provide a portable heater that maintains or improves the body temperature of a user, which vest is characterised in that, being substantially rectangular, it has a central band, a positive Velcro® flap and a negative Velcro® flap, there being disposed on one of the longer perimeter sides of the central band two tabs of positive Velcro® and two strips having free ends provided with borders of negative Velcro®. The central band is formed by two superposed identical sheets, with perimeter and intermediate welds that form a series of longitudinal channels with multiple interchannel conduits, the interior volume formed, intended to be filled with hot water as a temperature of 70-75°C, being hermetically sealed by means of a cap.

DESCRIPTION

THERMAL VEST TECHNICAL OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a garment intended to be placed on top of normal clothing or under a jacket or outerwear in order to have a portable heater that maintains or improves body temperature in cold environments or during periods in which the user is distempered or suffers from pain or contracture that requires the application of heat.

TECHNICAL SECTOR TO WHICH THE INVENTION REFERS

The invention presented affects the Sector of Current Needs of Life, and Various Industrial Techniques, chapter on Personal or Domestic Objects and Conformation regarding Objects of personal use, influencing, from the industrial point of view, in the manufacture and sale of thermal garments for clothing and treatments that require the application of heat on people.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The use of thermal garments is common in cold countries or when the user must function, exceptionally, in conditions of low temperatures such as professional or recreational activities in caves, boats, gliding, motorcycling, etc.

They are also used by people sensitive to low temperatures for reasons of age or illness.

To protect the body in these conditions, the most normal thing is to go to special garments made with insulating materials, arranged in several layers. These are garments that, by themselves, provide protection. There are other types of garments that require special facilities with external energy input, and various registered inventions are known, some of which are listed below

All of them describe solutions based on electrical resistances powered by batteries, either directly from the grid or using solar energy.

It is understood that they have major drawbacks since they require accumulators with their corresponding additional weight and volume, long recharging time and recording of faults in the electrical installation itself, which, having to incorporate very flexible wires, are quite weak. Even the batteries themselves have a relatively short lifespan.

The disadvantage of always having to wear the same garment, especially by the most conceited users, is not negligible either.

These thermal garments also have the drawback that the person is forced to wear a certain dress line, which also implies wearing it throughout the day regardless of the thermal changes that occur throughout the day.

We will also cite, by way of example, an invention registered under patent number ES-1066634 U that describes a refrigerated vest consisting of a multi-layer vest between which ice or any other cold product is introduced.

Finally, as an invention closer to that described in this document, we will cite the one registered under number ES-1214254 U entitled "Thermal cap" that, using hot water, has been specially conceived for the treatment of the scalp and opening of pores in hairdressers and beauty salons.

The inventor does not know any background that refers to a garment or that serves as a complement thereof, considering that it is a novel solution that, due to its simplicity and economy, has interesting advantages and will be available to the general public.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a garment intended to be placed on top of normal clothing or under a jacket or outerwear in order to have a portable heater that maintains or improves the body temperature of the user. It is a garment assimilable to a girdle that has a rectangular shape being composed of two equal layers of plastic material that are joined to each other, by heat welding, forming a series of compartments or longitudinal channels related by a plurality of intercommunication conduits for ensure rapid and complete filling of a hot liquid, preferably water.

That is, it is a device that, having several channels, in principle independent, has a unique volume, since these channels are communicated with each other. The entry of hot water, at about 70-75 degrees, is carried out by filling through a tap that emits the water at the mentioned temperature. The water enters the vest through a hole equipped with a hermetic closing cap and gradually fills all the small volumes that are formed thanks to the double layer and to the longitudinal interior and perimeter welds that the vest of the invention. As filling occurs there is a slight increase in volume with the end result that the thermal vest takes on the appearance of a series of straight cylinders, height equal to the length of the vest, placed in an adjacent position and separated by the welding strips.

In the following sections an explanatory figure is included for a better understanding of the structure of the garment and other construction details. Its characteristics are also described in detail in the section of the preferred embodiment by its inventor.

The thermal vest of the invention is manufactured in various colors and in plastic, latex, neoprene, silicone or similar material, with flexible and waterproof properties. As for the sizes, it is an adjustable garment between fairly wide limits due to the existence of sailboat stripes. However, the inventor does not rule out manufacturing in two, three or more sizes to cater to all the needs of interested users including babies and pets.

In summary, the thermal vest of the invention consists of a garment that does not oblige certain lines of clothing, as it can hide under other garments, having a long useful life, being able to recharge immediately, anywhere, in current developed countries, With an autonomy of between two and three hours, it is possible to dispense with the garment, when it is not needed, with the advantage of storing it in a small, lightweight and easily portable bag. In the section of schematic drawings that is included below, as an inseparable part of this document, the basic idea of this invention is shown without prejudice to the possibility of applying small modifications that do not alter said basic idea.

It represents the side view of the thermal vest with its channels filled with water. DETAILED EXPLANATION OF A METHOD OF CARRYING OUT THE

INVENTION

Thermal vest (1) (Fig 1) consisting of a garment intended to be placed on top of normal clothing or under a jacket or outerwear in order to have a portable heater that maintains or improves the body temperature of the user . In a preferred embodiment by its inventor, it is shown as a rectangular shaped part in which a central band (2), a positive® sailboat flap (3), at one end and a negative sailboat® flap are distinguished (4) at the opposite extreme. On one of the longest perimeter sides with a central band (2) there are, in an almost extreme position, two positive® sailboat tabs (5), with two extensions coming out, in a position close to the center, of the same material as the central band (2), which act as tie rods (6), which are equipped at their ends with negative sailboat stripes (7). This general arrangement of elements allows the thermal vest (1) to be placed on the user's body, so that the central band (2) is wrapped around his waist, like a sash, closing on itself by mutual hooking of the flap sailboat® positive (3) with the sailboat® flap negative (4). This position is ensured by means of the two straps (6) that, passing over the shoulders, are hooked in front by crimping the stripes of the negative sailboat® (7) with the tabs of the positive sailboat® (5). Since the negative® sailboat stripes (7) are long, the correct adjustment of the tie rods (6) is possible,

The garment is reminiscent of a vest that covers the body from the kidney area to approximately chest height.

The central band (2), made of flexible plastic, silicone or similar material, consists of two superimposed layers with the particularity that its perimeter edge and a series of longitudinal intermediate lines are glued together by welds (8) that delimit several channels (9 ), too longitudinal, which remain horizontal when the thermal vest is placed on the user.

In (Fig. 1) these channels (9) are clearly seen, having been represented in number of six, although it could be any other depending on the width that you want to give them. All of them are closed at one of their ends and at the opposite end they are interconnected in an area where the plug (11) is installed. It is understood that when water is introduced through the aforementioned plug (11), with the thermal vest (1) oriented in a vertical position, filling of all the channels (9) takes place, although somewhat imperfectly and slowly so that the inventor adds interchannel ducts (10), on the opposite side to the stopper (1 1), thus achieving faster filling because thanks to the effect of the communicating vessels the height of the water in all the channels (9) rises in a way simultaneous in all of them. However, it is not ruled out to add more interchannel ducts (10), in other intermediate positions, that favor filling, in case of accidental plugging of some of them.

In (Figs. 2 and 3) the swelling effect produced by the effect of filling with water (12) can be observed so that the central band (2), initially flat, with its two sheets stuck together, becomes a series of parallel straight cylinders. The distance between two adjacent lines of welds determines the increase in volume of the central band (2). The inventor's idea is that, in the hypothesis of total filling with hot water (11), the maximum separation between the two sheets that make up the central band (2) does not exceed one centimeter.

The operation and advantages of the thermal vest (1) of the invention are easily understood because, once filled with hot water (12) and adjusted on the user's body, it provides direct protection, just for the mere fact of wearing it, which is increased by the effect of the heat transmission given off by the hot water (12) which, if introduced at about 70-75 degrees Celsius, is maintained, providing heat, during a period between two and three hours depending, logically on weather conditions.

Filling, in any developed country, can be done anywhere and at any time, very quickly and at no cost to the user.

The well-being effect is immediate with the advantage that, when the time is not needed, it can be dispensed with by emptying it and rolling it up on itself and putting it in a small volume bag and comfortable portability.

The stopper has a 1 ”valve with a thread closure system covered by a plastic tongue with a flexible sailboat® to avoid the tendency to screw out of the thread and leakage of fluid.

Taking into account that this garment is suitable for all types of ages and people of different complexions, it is planned to manufacture it in various sizes and even in special sizes for pets.

It is not considered necessary to make the content of this description more extensive in order for a person skilled in the art to understand the scope and advantages derived from the invention, as well as to develop and carry out the object thereof. However, it should be understood that the invention has been described in accordance with a preferred embodiment thereof, so that it may be subject to modifications without impacting or involving any alteration of the basis of said invention. That is to say, the terms in which this preferred description of the invention has been exposed, should always be taken in a broad and non-limiting manner.

Claims

1.- Thermal vest (1) consisting of a garment intended to be placed on top of normal clothing or under a jacket or outerwear, in order to have a portable heater that maintains or improves the body temperature of the user , characterized in that, having a substantially rectangular shape, it has a central band (2), a positive sailboat flap (3) and a negative sailboat flap (4), existing in the central band (2), in one of its longest perimeter sides, two positive sailboat tabs (5) and two tie rods (6) whose free ends are equipped with negative sailboat stripes (7), the central band (2) consisting of two equal, overlapping sheets , with welds (8), perimeter and intermediate, that form a series of channels (9), longitudinal, with several interchannel ducts (10), being closed, hermetically, by means of a plug (11), the interior volume that is shape, intended for filling with water to hot (12) at a temperature of the order of 70-75 degrees Celsius.

2.- Thermal vest, according to the first claim, characterized in that the central band (2), bilayer, as well as the straps (6), are made of plastic, silicone, latex, neoprene or similar material.

3.- Thermal vest, according to the first claim, characterized in that the cap (11) has a 1 "valve with a closure system by means of a thread covered by a plastic tongue with a flexible sailboat®.

4.- Thermal vest, according to previous claims, characterized in that it is manufactured in various sizes and colors.
