Abstract

The invention involves the intelligent management of airline luggage in airports by means of a radio frequency identification system. A flexible tag is attached to the luggage. The registration is carried out by this tag, which identifies the customer luggage being processed, and is supplemented by the personal data of the customer. In the event of a ventilation error or loss of luggage, the system will recognise the owner, his/her destination and will rapidly contact the owner. This innovative method of managing luggage will allow it to be sent to the zone concerned on the conveyor and allow any luggage affected by an error to be automatically guided to a neutral zone. This will allow time to be gained by loading different zones of the conveyor at the same time with precision via the tag. This system can be implemented worldwide by interconnection via a server which uses the same customer database. Archiving the database in a server will prevent piracy.

Présentation de l’essence de l’invention et son mode de réalisation  Presentation of the essence of the invention and its embodiment
Notre prototype se compose de deux appareils principaux coté hardware et un software : Our prototype consists of two main devices on the hardware and software side:
Le hardware est composé de : The hardware consists of:
1. A mobile (portable) device for first recording the identifiers of the Radio Frequency ID identification labels for customer baggage as a main field in the local database or in a server via an interconnected interface; and secondly, the same mobile device is used to identify baggage lost following a fall from the conveyor belt or baggage transport truck to aircraft and this in record processing time.
A second device fixed at the level of the conveyors intended for the treatment of luggage which will be done automatically without having to resort to several agents. The software is composed of software designed for our prototype and which contains: A software part which will build the database at the baggage check-in level (local link or international link via a server). The registration contains details of the information necessary for the management and monitoring of customer baggage as well as personal data of the customer such as passport number, e-ticket number, mobile phone, email ... Of course, the software is flexible and we can update it at any time. Also, it has the possibility of access by an administrator at any time in addition to the agent handling the checked baggage. A specificity of this soft system is that the client is informed with internet social networks as an option (Facebook for example).
In order to be able to control the data as well as the users, the need for a management system quickly became apparent. Database management is done through a system called Database Management System.
The Database Management System is a set of services (software applications) for managing databases, that is to say that our software is designed to:
Permettre l'accès aux données de façon simple ;  Provide easy access to data;
Autoriser un accès aux informations à de multiple utilisateurs ;  Allow access to information to multiple users;
).  Manipulate the data present in the database (insertion, deletion, modification ...).
The Database Management System can be broken down into three subsystems:
1- Le système de gestion de fichiers qui permet le stockage des informations sur un support physique ; 2- Le Système de gestion de base de données interne qui gère l'ordonnancement des informations ; 1- The file management system which allows the storage of information on a physical medium; 2- The internal database management system which manages the scheduling of information;
3- The external database management system which represents the interface with the user.
The labels used are flexible to facilitate their use and each chip of these labels is for single use (only one writing of the identifier and that only reading is allowed) for a single traveler. To choose the chip type, you must first choose the frequency according to the desired use. After research the best choice for handling baggage at airports is the Ultra High Frequency band.

The reader emits radio waves at concrete frequencies through Radio Frequency IDentification antennas. The waves give tags energy so that they can communicate by issuing a unique ID. The labels used by our prototype are passive, that is to say autonomous in energy supply, and can be used for many years. The Radio Frequency IDentification reader processes the data in order to integrate it into the application and give it meaning. The typical reading range is 0-14 meters.
Radio Frequency IDentification Ultra high frequency systems consist of: 1) readers, 2) antennas and 3) printers or Radio Frequency IDentification tags and labels. Here are some types of Radio Frequency IDentification readers.
The Radio Frequency IDentification Antennas are responsible for transmitting and receiving the waves which make it possible to detect the Radio Frequency IDentification chips. When a Radio Frequency IDentification chip crosses the antenna field, it activates and emits a signal. The antennas create different wave fields and cover different distances.
A Passive Ultra High Frequency Radio Frequency IDentification label consists of a chip and an antenna. It is said to be passive because it does not have a clean energy source. It is remotely powered by transforming the electromagnetic energy radiated by the reader into continuous electrical energy necessary for the activation and operation of its chip.
Radio Frequency IDentification solutions for baggage handling at the airport improve the speed and accuracy of baggage handling. Radio Fréquence IDentification readers can locate and read the Radio Fréquence IDentification labels, regardless of the position or orientation of the luggage on the conveyor.
