Abstract

The invention relates to a foldable lever corkscrew for two-step removal, which is designed to replace conventional foldable lever corkscrews and is characterised in that it is formed by an external piece and an internal piece, both with a U-shaped cross section and sized such that the second piece is coupled inside the first with the possibility of sliding smoothly thereon, acting as a telescopic mechanism. Once coupled, the two remain inseparable owing to the inclusion of external tabs and internal tabs that bend. The external piece has an external claw, an opening and a bolt, and the internal piece has a flange, an internal claw, a heel extension and a hook, both pieces being connected by a spring, one end of which is hooked on the bolt and the other secured to the hook.

The present invention describes a folding corkscrew lever which, incorporated in any of those known as classic corkscrews, allows the cork to be extracted in two steps without the need to modify the position of the hands.

External in appearance, reminiscent of the usual corkscrew levers, responds to a telescopic retractable mechanism of great simplicity and very good presence that does not make the final price more expensive

From the industrial point of view it affects the manufacture of accessories for domestic use and hospitality establishments.

_{Antécédent. .} TO INVENTION

It is well known that in relation to corkscrews, multiple registered inventions are known describing very different models, each of which has its special properties and characteristics that sometimes affect the simplicity of its handling, others are interesting in price, sometimes we show details of originality with authentic inventive activity, others for its beautiful design, etc.

The invention described in this document refers to an interesting modality that complements another invention entitled "classic corkscrew" of the same author registered with the patent number ES-121 1964 U and application number U 201800184. Said document describes a corkscrew which, among other features, has a folding lever directed in such a way that it allows the extraction of the cork with a single pull.

In which it is now presented, the inventor replaces said folding lever with another designed to make the extraction in two stages.

There are many known solutions for two-stage extraction, but the current design is totally new! that no similar antecedent is known.

On the other hand, the folding lever described in this document has the added advantage that it can be incorporated into other corkscrews, whose main body has adequate dimensions, replacing the one they have with the one proposed here.

The invention relates to a folding lever designed to replace the one incorporated by the invention of the same author entitled "classic corkscrew" cited in the previous paragraph.

Its purpose is to carry out extractions of! Cork from the usual bottles in two steps instead of one.

The new lever has an external appearance very similar to the original flip lever. However its constitution is totally different because it is a telescopic device with an external and an internal part that glides smoothly with respect to the first.

The outer piece acts as a support for the whole. In one of its ends it has a pin that is the one destined to be the common pin of union with the main body of the corkscrew. On the other end there is a nail that will serve as the first step or support on the neck of the bottle. In the intermediate zone it has a window that determines the working stop of the sliding internal part that is imprisoned because there are two small tabs that guarantee the union. The internal part has another nail identical to that of the external part which, due to the telescopic nature of the assembly, is logically inside, extending with a wing that will serve to press with the hand on the bottle in the process of uncorking.

The external and internal parts are related by means of an inner spring that ensures a position collected from the assembly. One of the ends of the spring engages in the pin mentioned above, that is to say integral with the outer piece and the other end is mounted on the inner piece in a small welded or die-cut hook. This arrangement of the elements is what conditions the operation of the lever having a stable position collected with the spring slightly tensioned and another stable position extended with the spring very tensioned and the internal part anchored in the window of the external part thanks to the existence of a small fold made at the end of the internal part opposite the handling wing. A slight action on the aforementioned wing releases the fold from its position in the window by firing the mechanism to its position collected by releasing the energy stored in the spring.

The following section includes drawings, which are an inseparable part of this document and allow a perfect idea of the structuring and operation of the lever of the invention.

Corkscrew folding lever for two-step extraction (15) (Figs 1 to 10) consisting of a folding lever designed to replace, in principle, which incorporates the invention of the same author entitled "classic corkscrew" or other corkscrew levers provided that it is properly sized to be able to make the substitution. In an embodiment preferred by its inventor, it is an abaíible lever (15) that is composed of an outer piece (1) (Figs. 1, 2 and 3) and an inner piece (6) (Figs. 4 , 5 and 6) dimensioned in such a way that the second fits over the first with the possibility of sliding smoothly over it behaving like a telescopic mechanism. Both pieces have a "U" shaped cross section

The external part (1) has, at one end, the external nail (2), similar to that of any usual lever, presenting in the intermediate area a window (3) and at the opposite end a pin (5) . In the lower part, in a section close to that of the window (3) it is equipped with external tabs (4) which, as we will see later, are used for the proper union of the external (1) and internal (6) parts. without damaging its relative slippage.

The internal part (6) has, at one end, a fin (1 1) and the internal nail (7), of identical profile to that of the external nail (2), presenting at the opposite end, above, a heel appendage (8) and below, internal tabs (9) having, finally, in an internal intermediate zone, a hook (10). The tabs (9) serve, as well as the external ones (4), for the inseparable union of the external (1) and internal (6) pieces, for which, once these pieces are fitted, they must be totally or partially bent.

The coupling of the external (!) And internal (6) part, in its collected state, is represented in (Figs. 7, 8 and 9). The internal part (6) is represented in a line of points to differentiate it better from the external one (1). In these figures it can be seen that the eyelashes (4) have become the bent outer eyelashes (4.1) and that the internal eyelashes (6) have become the bent internal eyelashes (9.1) with the particularity that the first ones they have bent fairy inside and second to the outside.

In the collected state, which is shown in the figures just mentioned, a total coincidence of the profile of the external nail (2) and the internal nail (7) is observed, so that the lever behaves in this collected position as if there was only a single nail. It is also observed that the outer part (1) and the piece internal (6) are related to each other by means of the spring (12) which is mounted at one end in the pin (5) of the external part (I) and at the other end in the hook (10) of the internal part (6) )

The fitting of the inner piece (or) inside the outer piece (1) has a particularity, which is shown in (Fig. 7), consisting in that, despite the exact coincidence of the profile of both external nails (2 ) and internal (7), there is no coincidence of the longitudinal axes of the pieces but, on the contrary, both axes form an angle to each other (1 3) which is due to the existence of the heel appendix (8) corresponding to the internal part (6) The internal part (6), subjected to spring tension (12), stops at the pin (5)

The (Fig. LQ, 1 1 and 12) show the extended position of the lever in which the inner part (6) has slid longitudinally through the inside of the outer part (2) until the heel appendix (8 ) of the internal part (6) arrives at the window (3) existing in the external part (2) at which time the angle a (13) becomes the angle b (14) that shows the (Figure 10) . In other words, if the angle a (13) is considered to have a positive value, it is clear that the angle b (14) must be considered as negative. In this extended position, the spring (12) is much more tensioned than in the collected position, which can be reached again, applying a small turn to the inner part (or), with respect to the external part (2), to release the heel appendix (8) of the window (3) also releasing the tension stored in the spring (12) that pulls the hook (10) until the inner part (6) abuts the pin (5).

The operation of the lever of the invention is thus described which, in a kind of telescopic movement, passes from the collected position to the extended position and vice versa, both positions being stable. The internal part (or) is inseparable from the external part (1) as a result of the bending of the tabs (4) and (9). To be able to disassemble the assembly it is necessary to unfold said tabs. In (Fsgs. 13 and 14) it is assumed that the lever of the invention (15) has been mounted on a classic corkscrew (16) with a side view (Fig. 13) and a bottom view (Fig. 14) being represented.

In (Figs. 15 to 19) the process of extracting a cork (18) in a bottle (17) of the usual ones is schematized. The process begins in (Fig. 15) where a corkscrew (16) equipped with the flip lever (15) of the invention has already been screwed into the cork (18).

In (Fig. 16) the flip lever (15) has been applied on the neck of the bottle (1?) And in (Fig. 17) the first step or pull has been made observing that the cork (1 8) He already has part of it out of the bottle (17). So far, the process is identical to the fact that a traditional corkscrew is still used. However, it should be noted that the external nail (2) and the internal nail (7) are coincident, behaving as one.

In (Fig. 18) the phase is shown in which the flip lever (15) moves from the collected position to the extended position. To do this, put a hand on the neck of the bottle (17) by pressing hard on the fin (1 1) so that it approaches the neck of the bottle; With the other hand, the right part of the corkscrew (16) is lowered, which does not perform any action on the cork (18) because what happens is that the outer piece (1) slides on the inner piece (6), tightening the spring (12), until heel appendix (8) is inserted into the window (3). The detail of exerting pressure on the flap (1 1) is emphasized because in this way a certain curvature is achieved that avoids any friction on the cork (18) and it is guaranteed that the heel appendix (8) is introduced into the window (3 ) essential to achieve stable extended position.

Once this position has been reached, it is acted as indicated in (Fig. 19), carrying out the second step or pull with which the total extraction of the cork (18) is achieved.

It is not considered necessary to make the content of this description more extensive so that a person skilled in the art can understand the scope and advantages derived from the invention, as well as develop and implement the object thereof. However, it should be understood that the invention has been described according to a preferred embodiment thereof, so that it may be susceptible to modifications without any impact on this or imply any alteration of the basis of said invention. That is, the terms in which this preferred description of the invention has been exposed should always be taken broadly and not limitatively.
