Abstract
Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る無線通信システム10の全体概略構成図である。無線通信システム10は、Long Term Evolution(LTE)及び5G New Radio(NR)に従った無線通信システムである。なお、LTEは4Gと呼ばれてもよいし、NRは、5Gと呼ばれてもよい。
次に、無線通信システム10の機能ブロック構成について説明する。具体的には、eNB100A及びUE200の機能ブロック構成について説明する。
図3は、eNB100Aの機能ブロック構成図である。図3に示すように、eNB100Aは、無線通信部110、サポート表示受信部115、RRC制御部120及びPDCP設定部130を備える。
図4は、UE200の機能ブロック構成図である。図4に示すように、UE200は、無線通信部210、LTE-RRC制御部220、NR-RRC制御部230、サポート表示送信部240及びPDCP設定部250を備える。
次に、無線通信システム10の動作について説明する。具体的には、eNB100A、gNB100B及びUE200におけるPDCPエンティティの設定に関する動作について説明する。
図5は、eNB100A及びUE200によるPDCPエンティティの設定を含むRRCコネクションの設定シーケンスを示す。
データ無線ベアラ(DRB)をMCGベアラとして設定する場合、DRBは、eNB100AがUE Capability Informationを受信した後に設定されるため、UE Capability Informationに上述したようなサポート表示が含まれていればよい。eNB100Aは、UE Capability Informationに含まれるサポート表示に基づいて、UE200が共用のPDCPエンティティ(NR-PDCP)をサポートしているかを認識できるからである。
上述したように、本実施形態では、以下の方法によって、UE200からeNB100Aにサポート表示が送信される。
(b) RRC Connection Requestのスペアビットを利用
(c) RRC Connection Requestに含まれる論理チャネルの識別子を利用
(a)の場合、セル毎に1つまたは複数のRA preambleが確保される。確保されたRA preambleは、スプリットベアラ(Unified split bearer)用のPDCPエンティティと、MCGベアラ用のPDCPエンティティとを共用し、一つのPDCPエンティティ(本実施形態では、NR-PDCP)とすることをUE200がサポートすることを示す。
ここでは、特に、SRBをMCGベアラとして設定する場合において、共用されるPDCPエンティティとしてNR-PDCPを設定することを設定内容として通知する例について説明する。
図9に示すように、RadioResourceConfigDedicatedのSRB-ToAddModは、「PDCP-SpecConfig-r15」のフィールドを含む。PDCP-SpecConfig-r15は、数値(ENUMERATED(nr))で示される。PDCP-SpecConfig-r15は、NR-PDCPによってPDCPエンティティ(共用されるPDCPエンティティ)が設定されることを示す。
上述した実施形態によれば、以下の作用効果が得られる。具体的には、UE200は、スプリットベアラ(Unified split bearer)に用いられるPDCPエンティティと、MCGベアラに用いられるPDCPエンティティとを同一とする(共用する)ことのサポートを示すサポート表示をeNB100Aに送信する。また、eNB100Aは、当該サポート表示に基づいて、スプリットベアラ(Unified split bearer)、及びMCGベアラに用いられるPDCPエンティティを共用するか、及び共用する場合には、NR-PDCPを設定することができる。
以上、実施形態に沿って本発明の内容を説明したが、本発明はこれらの記載に限定されるものではなく、種々の変形及び改良が可能であることは、当業者には自明である。
さらに、「基地局」「eNB」、「セル」、及び「セクタ」という用語は、本明細書では互換的に使用され得る。基地局は、固定局(fixed station)、NodeB、eNodeB(eNB)、gNodeB(gNB)、アクセスポイント(access point)、フェムトセル、スモールセルなどの用語で呼ばれる場合もある。

- ユーザ装置と無線基地局とを含む無線通信システムであって、
コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由して他の無線基地局に分岐するスプリットベアラと、前記コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由する通常ベアラとが設定され、
前記ユーザ装置は、前記スプリットベアラに用いられるパケット・データ・コンバージェンス・プロトコル・レイヤのエンティティであるPDCPエンティティと、前記通常ベアラに用いられるPDCPエンティティとを同一とすることのサポートを示すサポート表示を前記無線基地局に送信するサポート表示送信部を備え、
前記無線基地局は、
前記サポート表示を受信するサポート表示受信部と、
前記サポート表示を受信した場合、前記PDCPエンティティの設定内容を示す無線リソース制御レイヤのメッセージを前記ユーザ装置に送信するメッセージ送信部と
を備える無線通信システム。 - 無線基地局と無線通信を実行するユーザ装置であって、
コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由して他の無線基地局に分岐するスプリットベアラと、前記コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由する通常ベアラとが設定され、
前記スプリットベアラに用いられるパケット・データ・コンバージェンス・プロトコル・レイヤのエンティティであるPDCPエンティティと、前記通常ベアラに用いられるPDCPエンティティとを同一とすることのサポートを示すサポート表示を前記無線基地局に送信するサポート表示送信部と、
前記PDCPエンティティの設定内容を示す無線リソース制御レイヤのメッセージを前記無線基地局から受信するメッセージ受信部と
を備えるユーザ装置。 - 前記サポート表示送信部は、前記サポート表示と対応付けられたランダムアクセス・プレアンブルを前記無線基地局に送信する請求項2に記載のユーザ装置。
- 前記サポート表示送信部は、前記サポート表示と対応付けられたビットを含む前記メッセージを前記無線基地局に送信する請求項2に記載のユーザ装置。
- 前記サポート表示送信部は、前記サポート表示と対応付けられた論理チャネルの識別子を含む媒体アクセス制御レイヤのプロトコルデータユニットを前記無線基地局に送信し、
前記プロトコルデータユニットは、前記メッセージを含む請求項2に記載のユーザ装置。 - ユーザ装置と無線通信を実行する無線基地局であって、
コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由して他の無線基地局に分岐するスプリットベアラと、前記コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由する通常ベアラとが設定され、

前記サポート表示を受信した場合、前記PDCPエンティティの設定内容を示す無線リソース制御レイヤのメッセージを前記ユーザ装置に送信するメッセージ送信部と
を備える無線基地局。 - 前記メッセージ送信部は、前記設定内容が記述されたコンテナを含む前記メッセージを前記ユーザ装置に送信する請求項6に記載の無線基地局。
- 前記メッセージ送信部は、前記無線基地局が設定する前記PDCPエンティティの種別を示す情報要素を含む前記メッセージを前記ユーザ装置に送信する請求項6に記載の無線基地局。
- ユーザ装置と無線基地局とを用いた無線通信方法であって、
コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由して他の無線基地局に分岐するスプリットベアラと、前記コアネットワークから前記無線基地局を経由する通常ベアラとが設定され、
前記ユーザ装置が、前記スプリットベアラに用いられるパケット・データ・コンバージェンス・プロトコル・レイヤのエンティティであるPDCPエンティティと、前記通常ベアラに用いられるPDCPエンティティとを同一とすることのサポートを示すサポート表示を前記無線基地局に送信するステップと、
前記無線基地局が、前記サポート表示を受信するステップと、
前記無線基地局が、前記サポート表示を受信した場合、前記PDCPエンティティの設定内容を示す無線リソース制御レイヤのメッセージを前記ユーザ装置に送信するステップとを含む無線通信方法。
