Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a V-ribbed belt.
- the uncrosslinked rubber composition containing the short fibers is kneaded, and then calendered to form an uncrosslinked rubber sheet in which the short fibers are oriented in the length direction,
- the uncrosslinked rubber sheet is cut at a certain length in a direction perpendicular to the length direction to form rubber pieces, and the short fibers are formed into a width by jointing the sides of the rubber pieces.
- An uncrosslinked rubber sheet is formed to form V-ribs oriented in the direction.
- expensive short fibers must be used, and it is necessary to strictly control the orientation thereof.
- an uncrosslinked rubber sheet for a compressed rubber layer is used as an uncrosslinked rubber in which at least one of a hollow particle in which short fibers are not blended and a foaming agent is blended. What is produced by extrusion molding using a composition is known.
- the surface rubber is an expensive low friction coefficient, heat-resistant rubber and the inner rubber is an inexpensive pure rubber.
- the surface layer When forming a two-layer rubber from a flat sheet with a mold or two-color extrusion, the surface layer has a non-uniform thickness, and the surface rubber layer can hardly be formed at the bottom of the rib, which is particularly important for belt performance. There was a problem. Therefore, there is a problem that even if it is worn slightly, the internal rubber is exposed, the friction coefficient is increased, and squeal is generated.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to make it possible to manufacture a V-ribbed belt that is inexpensive and excellent in squealing performance and wear resistance without using expensive short fibers. There is.
- a plurality of V ribs extending in the longitudinal direction on the inner peripheral side in the thickness direction are provided with a compressed rubber layer arranged in the belt width direction, and the friction of the plurality of V ribs is provided.
- a manufacturing method of a V-ribbed belt whose transmission surface is covered with a surface rubber layer is assumed.

- the inner surface of the belt mold in which a plurality of compressed rubber layer forming grooves are continuously provided in the groove width direction so that the molded body is on the inner side and the surface rubber sheet is on the outer side.
- the compressed rubber layer forming portion serving as the compressed rubber layer configured by covering each of the plurality of protrusions of the molded body with the surface rubber sheet,
- the belt mold side is pressed and heated to crosslink, and is integrated with the surface rubber sheet to form a cylindrical belt slab.
- the belt slab is cut in units of the plurality of compressed rubber layer forming portions constituting the plurality of V ribs.
- the surface rubber layer is coat
- the belt slab is molded by heating and pressing the belt mold side to crosslink. Since it is cut in units of a plurality of compressed rubber layer forming portions, unevenness in the thickness of the surface rubber layer is less likely to occur.

You may make it do. In this way, since the entire molded body can be crosslinked at once, the crosslinking process becomes extremely easy.
- the surface rubber sheet is previously formed in a corrugated shape having a cross section having the same pitch as the core rubber layer forming portion, and a portion of the surface rubber sheet that protrudes toward the core rubber layer forming portion is the core rubber layer forming portion.
- the two-layer molding may be facilitated by being provided so as to be positioned at a position between the grooves. In this way, a large stretch allowance can be secured for the surface rubber sheet, so that local elongation of the surface rubber sheet is effectively suppressed.
- the flat surface rubber layer may be continuously passed between a pair of plate-shaped or roll-shaped members forming a bellows shape so that the pitch of the bellows gradually decreases along the length direction. Good. If comprised in this way, a surface rubber sheet will be reliably formed in the shape in alignment with the surface of a core rubber layer formation part by a simple method.
- the compressed rubber layer forming portion may be fitted into the compressed rubber layer forming groove. If comprised in this way, since the flow of rubber will become small by inserting the compression rubber layer formation part in the compression rubber layer formation groove
- the pressing of the molded body to the belt mold side may be performed by inflating an expansion sleeve disposed inside the molded body and pressing the molded body from the inside.
- a tensile body embedded in the tubular uncrosslinked rubber composition so as to form a spiral in which the core wire has a pitch in the axial direction may be provided between the molded body and the expansion sleeve.
- the tensile body may be provided on the expansion sleeve before the expansion sleeve is expanded.
- a gap may be formed between the tensile body and the expansion sleeve before the expansion sleeve is expanded.
- the molded body and the tensile body may be provided in contact with each other before the expansion sleeve is expanded.
