- the present invention relates to a smoking article configured by wrapping a filter body with a sheet and a filter used in the smoking article.
- the cigarette filter is usually manufactured in a form in which a filter medium such as cellulose acetate tow is wrapped with a web.
- a filter medium such as cellulose acetate tow
- those containing adsorbent particles such as activated carbon to remove gas / vapor components of mainstream smoke or those containing flavor reinforcing agent particles to complement the tobacco flavor are generally known.
- the method of adding the particles is roughly classified into two types.
- a dalmatian type in which particles are dispersed in a filter medium such as cellulose acetate tow and a cavity part are created between the filter medium filters, and the particles are added to the cavity part.
- Cavity type is known.
- spherical activated carbon as an adsorbent is added to the cavity portion in order to improve the filling rate of activated carbon and to prevent contamination of machinery.
- adding flavor enhancers include the following.
- flavor-containing cellulose particles are added to the cavity part
- breakable capsules are added to the cavity part.
- US Pat. No. 6,537,186 shows a method for manufacturing a cavity filter.
- Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-48734 discloses a method of gluing at the time of manufacturing a continuous product of the tobacco processing industry, and Japanese Patent No. 4955866 describes a method of applying an adhesive in the form of a coated paper tape. .
- a smoking article includes a cylindrical filter body and a cylindrical shape in which the other end opposite to the one end overlaps to form a cylindrical shape, and the filter body is disposed inside.
- a second hot-melt adhesive and a second aqueous adhesive provided.
- FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view along the longitudinal direction of the cigarette according to the first embodiment.

- the cigarette 11 has a cylindrical tobacco portion 12, a cylindrical filter portion 13 provided adjacent to the tobacco portion 12, and a cylindrical shape covering the tobacco portion 12 and the filter portion 13.
- Chip paper 14 The end portion of the filter portion 13 constitutes a suction mouth 13A, and the suction mouth 13A is positioned in the mouth of the smoker when it is held by the smoker.
- the cigarette part 12 is formed by wrapping a cigarette 16 around a cut leaf 15 (cigarette).
- the filter part 13 is provided separately from the first filter body 21 (filter body) located on the suction port 13A side and the first filter body 21 in the direction of the central axis C, and is located on the tobacco part 12 side.
- ⁇ Forming paper 23 (sheet) is rectangular in a state where it is not bonded with an adhesive. As shown in FIG. 2, the molding paper 23 has one end portion 26 and the other end portion 27 on the opposite side. The forming paper 23 is bonded to the one end portion 26 so that the other end portion 27 is overlapped to form a cylindrical shape, and the first filter main body 21 and the second filter main body 22 are wrapped inside thereof. When the forming paper 23 has a cylindrical shape, one end portion 26 is disposed inside the other end portion 27.
- the position where the other end portion 27 overlaps the one end portion 26 is referred to as an overlap portion 29.
- the formed paper 23 is formed as a transparent paper and a transparent film. More specifically, the molding paper 23 is made of highly transparent paper such as glassine paper or paraffin paper, a cellophane film made of wood pulp, or polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) polymethyl methacrylate ( PMMA), polystyrene (PS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and other plastic transparent films. Further, the molding paper 23 may be formed of a general opaque paper. The molding paper 23 may be air permeable or may not be air permeable.
- FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line F2-F2 in FIG. 1 (chip paper is omitted in FIG. 2).
- the filter unit 13 includes a first hot melt adhesive 31 provided at a position between the first filter body 21 and the molding paper 23 (and a position between the second filter body 22 and the molding paper 23), and a molding. Between the second hot melt adhesive 32 provided at a position (overlap portion 29) between one end portion 26 and the other end portion 27 of the paper 23, and between the first filter body 21 and the molding paper 23. The position between the first aqueous adhesive 33 provided at the position (and the position between the second filter main body 22 and the molding paper 23) and the one end portion 26 and the other end portion 27 (overlap portion). And a second aqueous adhesive 34 provided in 29).
- the first aqueous adhesive 33 and the second aqueous adhesive 34 are continuous and integrally formed.
- the water-based adhesive is positioned between the first filter body 21 (second filter body 22) and the molding paper 23, and between the one end portion 26 and the other end portion 27 (overlap). Part 29).
- adsorbent particles activated carbon or the like that partially adsorb and remove tobacco smoke components and flavor reinforcing agent particles can be used.
- the cavity 24 may be filled with both adsorbent particles and flavor reinforcing agent particles.
- the first filter body 21 and the second filter body 22 are formed in a cylindrical shape by winding the periphery of a fibrous filler 37 with a web 35.
- the first filter body 21 and the second filter body 22 can be formed by various types of fillers 37. In the present embodiment, these are constituted by, for example, a filler 37 of a cellulose semi-synthetic fiber such as cellulose acetate, but the filler 37 is not limited to this.
