Definitions
- the present invention relates to an intake joint structure of a turbocharger.
- FIG. 1 shows an example of a general turbocharger.
- a turbine impeller 2 and a compressor impeller 3 are connected by a shaft 4, and the shaft 4 is connected to a center housing 5.
- the turbine impeller 2 is housed in a turbine housing 6 assembled to the center housing 5, and the compressor impeller 3 is assembled in a compressor housing 7 assembled to the center housing 5. Contained.
- a turbine scroll 8 is formed in the turbine housing 6 so as to surround the outer periphery of the turbine impeller 2, and an exhaust gas 9 introduced into the turbine scroll 8 from a tangential direction via an exhaust gas inlet (not shown).
- the turbine impeller 2 is driven to rotate, and the exhaust gas 9 having finished driving the turbine impeller 2 is extracted in the axial direction toward the exhaust gas outlet 10. .
- a compressor scroll 11 is formed in the compressor housing 7 so as to surround the outer periphery of the compressor impeller 3, and the compressor impeller 3 that is rotated by the rotation of the turbine impeller 2 rotates the air.
- the intake air 13 taken in from the axial direction through the inlet 12 is compressed and pushed out to the compressor scroll 11 and sent out from the compressor scroll 11 to a compressed air outlet (not shown).
- the shaft 4 connecting the turbine impeller 2 and the compressor impeller 3 is pivotally supported by a floating metal 14 (bearing portion).
- the lubricating oil 18 pumped up by 16 and cooled by the oil cooler 17 is supplied to the floating metal 14 via the oil path 19.
- the oil passage 19 is constituted by an oil supply passage 20 drilled in the center housing 5 and an oil supply pipe 21 routed outside the center housing 5.
- the oil supply path 20 is connected via a joint bolt 22.
- the oil draining mechanism of the floating metal 14 is such that the lubricating oil 18 discharged from the gap between the bearing portion and the shaft 4 is blown off to the oil discharge port 23 by the centrifugal force of the shaft 4, and the turbine impeller 2 and the compressor impeller. 3 before returning to the oil pan 15.
- Patent Document 1 As prior art document information indicating a general technical level related to a turbocharger, for example, there is the following Patent Document 1.
- the relationship between the engine speed and the turbo speed is such that the turbocharger 1 rotates efficiently as the engine speed increases in the case of full load.
- the turbocharger 1 does not rotate so much even when the engine speed increases (the turbine impeller 2 is not driven effectively only by the compressed air being fed into the turbine impeller 2). Therefore, in the case of no load, even if the turbo speed is low, the engine speed is sufficiently high and the oil supply amount is greatly increased, and the oil supply amount at the turbo speed is out of the safe use range. There was a risk that oil leakage would be caused and the lubricating oil 18 would flow back to the intake side and the elements of the air cleaner could be contaminated.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide an intake joint structure of a turbocharger that can prevent oil leakage from the turbocharger to the intake side.
- the present invention is an intake joint structure capable of blocking backflow of lubricating oil at a connection position between an air inlet of a turbocharger and an intake pipe, and a cylindrical portion externally fitted to the air inlet;
- a backflow prevention plate is integrally formed with a tapered portion that is bent inward from the upstream end of the cylinder portion and is narrowed to the downstream side toward the center while opening the tip, while the downstream end portion of the intake pipe Is formed of a soft material by exchange blow molding over a required range, and the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate is externally fitted to the air inlet via a first soft layer, and the intake pipe is connected to the cylindrical portion.
- the end portion on the downstream side is attached so as to be covered, and the end portion is bound by a hose band.
- the engine speed is sufficiently high even when the turbo speed is low, as in the case of going down the slope with the accelerator off while the engine brake is applied, and the amount of oil supply is greatly increased. Even if excess lubricating oil leaks to the air inlet of the turbocharger under the operating conditions, the backflow of the lubricating oil along the inner wall of the air inlet is blocked by the taper portion of the backflow prevention plate to the intake pipe. Is prevented, and oil leakage from the turbocharger to the intake side is reliably prevented.
- the backflow prevention plate needs to be molded with a highly durable hard material so as to surely avoid problems such as being partially broken due to aging and sucked into the turbocharger.
- the intake pipe is a blow molded product of polypropylene (polypropylene) resin, even if an attempt is made to install a backflow prevention plate at the connection position between the air inlet of the turbocharger and the intake pipe, the hard materials fit together. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure sealing performance.
- the downstream end of the intake pipe is formed of a soft material by exchange blow molding over the required range, and the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate is externally fitted to the air inlet via the first soft layer.
- the gap between them is filled by the flexible deformation of the downstream end of the intake pipe and the first soft layer, and good sealing performance is ensured.
- a first annular groove is formed by folding the downstream end portion of the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate outward and opening the upstream portion by the folded portion. It is preferable that the downstream end of the pipe be abutted and positioned.
- the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate is hidden by covering the downstream end of the intake pipe, and even if the cylindrical portion is displaced, it is left unrecognizable.
- the bundling by the hose band does not work well and the sealing performance is reduced, or the cylinder part of the backflow prevention plate is placed well between the air inlet and the downstream end of the intake pipe. There is a risk of falling off without being caught.
- another part of the grommet made of a soft material may be interposed between the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate and the air inlet to form the first soft layer. It is possible to simply improve the sealing performance between the tube portion of the backflow prevention plate and the air inlet simply by inserting the grommet.
- a second annular groove is formed by folding the end portion on the downstream side of the grommet outward and opening the upstream side by the folded portion, and the backflow prevention plate is formed in the second annular groove. It is preferable to configure so that the folded portion can be abutted and positioned.
- the folded portion of the backflow prevention plate can be abutted against the second annular groove for positioning, so there is no possibility that the grommet will shift inside the tube portion of the backflow prevention plate, The workability related to the assembly of the grommet is greatly improved.
- the second soft layer can be integrally formed by two-color molding on the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate. It becomes possible to further improve the sealing property by using the space between the end portion on the side and the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate as a mating surface between the soft materials.
- a locking structure is provided in which the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate is integrally formed as a second soft layer by two-color molding, and is connected between the upstream end of the cylindrical portion and the outer peripheral portion of the tapered portion. In this way, it is possible to further improve the clamping force by using the entire cylindrical portion as the second soft layer while securely connecting the cylindrical portion and the tapered portion by the locking structure. Become.
- a downstream end of the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate is folded outward and a first annular groove is formed to open upstream by the folded portion, and the downstream end of the intake pipe is pushed into the first annular groove. If it is configured so that it can be positioned, it is possible to eliminate the possibility that the cylinder portion of the backflow prevention plate is displaced inside the downstream end portion of the intake pipe, and the workability related to the assembly of the backflow prevention plate can be reduced. Significant improvement can be achieved.
- the backflow prevention plate can be simply and simply installed by inserting the grommet.
- the sealing performance between the cylindrical portion and the air inlet can be improved, and the cost required for improving the sealing performance at this position can be reduced at a low cost.
- a second annular groove may be formed by folding the downstream end of the grommet outward and opening upstream by the folded part, and the folded portion of the backflow prevention plate may be abutted against the second annular groove for positioning.
- the folded portion of the backflow prevention plate can be abutted against the second annular groove for positioning, so that the possibility of the grommet being displaced inside the tube portion of the backflow prevention plate can be eliminated.
- workability related to the assembly of the grommet can be greatly improved.
- the second soft layer is integrally formed by two-color molding on the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate, a soft material is provided between the downstream end portion of the intake pipe and the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate. As a mating surface between them, the sealing performance can be further improved, and intake air leakage can be prevented more reliably.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along arrow III-III in FIG. 2. It is sectional drawing which shows another example of the form which implements this invention. It is sectional drawing which shows another example of the form which implements this invention.
- FIG. 2 and 3 show an example of an embodiment for carrying out the present invention.
- the air inlet 12 and the intake pipe 24 of the turbocharger 1 see FIG. 1 described above
- the backflow prevention plate 25 is interposed at the connection position so that the backflow of the lubricating oil 18 can be blocked.
- the backflow prevention plate 25 is bent inward from the upstream end (the right end in FIG. 2) of the cylindrical portion 25a that is externally fitted to the air inlet 12, and downstream as it goes to the center. And a taper portion 25b having a distal end opened while being constricted to the side (left side in FIG. 2), and the downstream end of the cylindrical portion 25a is folded outward and the folded portion 25c.
- a first annular groove 25d that opens to the upstream side is formed, and the downstream end of the intake pipe 24 can be abutted against the first annular groove 25d for positioning.
- this type of backflow prevention plate 25 is integrally formed, it is formed of a hard material having high durability so as to surely avoid the problem that it is partially broken due to deterioration over time and sucked into the turbocharger 1.
- the intake pipe 24 is generally a blow molded product of polypropylene resin, the backflow prevention plate 25 is simply connected between the air inlet 12 of the turbocharger 1 and the intake pipe 24. Even if it tries to interpose at a position, it will be difficult to secure sealability because it will be a fit between hard materials.
- the downstream end 24a of the intake pipe 24 is formed with a soft material by exchange blow molding (blow molding in which different materials are integrated in one step) over a required range, and the backflow prevention plate 25 is formed.
- the cylindrical portion 25a is externally fitted to the air inlet 12 via a grommet 26 (first soft layer) made of a soft material such as rubber, and the downstream end of the intake pipe 24 is connected to the cylindrical portion 25a.
- 24a is attached so that the end 24a is bound by the hose band 27, and the downstream end 24a of the intake pipe 24 and the grommet 26 are softly deformed to fill a gap between them. Sealing performance is ensured.
- two-color molding is performed on the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 (the primary side of the dissimilar material is molded and then the secondary side is thermally fused in the mold.
- the soft layer 25e (second soft layer) is integrally formed by injection molding integrated with the primary side, and the downstream end 24a of the intake pipe 24 and the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 are formed.
- the gap between the soft materials can be used as a mating surface to further improve the sealing performance.
- the second annular groove 26b is formed by folding the downstream end portion of the grommet 26 outward and opening it upstream by the folded portion 26a. It is further preferable that the folded portion 25c of the backflow prevention plate 25 is abutted against the groove 26b so as to be positioned.
- the engine speed is sufficiently high even when the turbo speed is low, as in the case of going down the slope with the accelerator off while the engine brake is applied, and the amount of oil supply is greatly increased.
- the backflow of the lubricating oil 18 along the inner wall of the air inlet 12 is caused by the tapered portion 25b of the backflow prevention plate 25. The dam is blocked and the flow into the intake pipe 24 is prevented, and oil leakage from the turbocharger 1 to the intake side is reliably prevented.
- the downstream end 24a of the intake pipe 24 is formed of a soft material by exchange blow molding over a required range, and the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 is removed from the air inlet 12 via a soft material grommet 26. Since the fitting is carried out, the gap between them is filled by the flexible deformation of the downstream end 24a and the soft layer 25e of the intake pipe 24, and a good sealing property is ensured. If the soft layer 25e is integrally formed by two-color molding on the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 as in the embodiment, the downstream end portion 24a of the intake pipe 24 and the backflow prevention plate 25 are formed. It is possible to further improve the sealing performance by using the space between the cylindrical portion 25a and the soft material as a mating surface.
- the downstream end 24a of the intake pipe 24 covers the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25, and even if the cylindrical portion 25a is displaced, May be left unrecognized, so that the hose band 27 does not work well and the sealing performance deteriorates, or the tube portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 is disposed downstream of the air inlet 12 and the intake pipe 24. There is a possibility that it will not easily be sandwiched with the end 24a on the side and will easily fall off.
- oil leakage from the turbocharger 1 to the intake side can be reliably prevented, so that it is possible to prevent the air cleaner element from being contaminated by the leaked lubricating oil 18 in advance.
- the backflow prevention plate 25 is interposed at the connection position between the air inlet 12 of the turbocharger 1 and the intake pipe 24, good sealing performance can be secured.
- the possibility that the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 is displaced inside the downstream end portion 24a can be eliminated, and the workability related to the assembly of the backflow prevention plate 25 can be greatly improved.
- the sealing performance between the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 and the air inlet 12 can be improved simply by inserting the grommet 26, the cost necessary for improving the sealing performance at this position can be reduced.
- it since it can be positioned by abutting the folded portion 25c of the backflow prevention plate 25 against the second annular groove 26b of the grommet 26, it can be positioned inside the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25. The possibility that the grommet 26 is displaced can be eliminated, and workability related to the assembly of the grommet 26 can be greatly improved.
- FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing another example of the embodiment of the present invention, in which the cylindrical portion 25a of the backflow prevention plate 25 is integrally molded as a soft layer (second soft layer) by two-color molding and the cylinder.
- a locking structure 25f is provided between the upstream end of the portion 25a and the outer peripheral portion of the taper portion 25b. More specifically, the protrusion protrudes downstream from the outer peripheral portion of the taper portion 25b.
- the cylinder portion 25a is heat-sealed so as to sandwich the projection 25g in the mold to form the locking structure 25f.
- the cylinder part 25a and the taper part 25b can be further improved by tightening the whole cylinder part 25a by making the whole cylinder part 25a into a 2nd soft layer, reliably securing with the latching structure 25f.
- FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing still another example of the embodiment for carrying out the present invention.
- the anchor portion h is formed at the tip of the protrusion 25g to further strengthen the embodiment. You may make it aim at a simple connection.
- the intake joint structure of the turbocharger according to one aspect of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and instead of the grommet as a separate part made of a soft material as the first soft layer,
- the first soft layer may be integrally formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion of the backflow prevention plate by two-color molding.
