Abstract

The side table is formed by an insertion sleeve having a outwardly projecting edge on one upper end thereof, such that same can be inserted from above into the stand tube (11) of a sun umbrella stand, and is held at the opening of the stand tube (11) by its projecting edge, and is closed in a flush manner with the outer wall of the stand tube (11). The side table is also provided with a positioning fitting (5) having a slightly greater inner diameter than the outer diameter of the insertion sleeve. The positioning fitting (5) has an inwardly projecting edge on the upper end thereof. With the underside of said edge, the positioning fitting (5) can be positioned on the upper edge of the insertion sleeve. On the outside, the positioning fitting (5) has a peripheral, radially protruding circular ring (8). An associated table plate (9) can be pulled over the positioning fitting (5) by its central hole, after which same rests on the circular ring (8).

This invention relates to a side table for a parasol. Parasols are often placed in the garden, on terraces, in outdoor pools and on the beach, where you then in the shade a deck chair or a comfortable chair turns off. It often lacks a storage space, such as for drinks and glasses, books, newspapers and magazines, cell phones, sun creams, ashtrays and other utensils.
