The electronic control unit (19) activates the video camera (29), which acquires the sequence of images (9) and conveys it, through the electronic control unit (19), to the screen (21) of one or more of the display means (1 1) located on board the vehicle (5).

Cette invention concerne un système de sécurité pour véhicules (1), comprenant des moyens d'acquisition d'image (7), des moyens d'affichage (11) et des moyens de détection de déplacement (3) de véhicule (5), lesdits moyens de détection de déplacement (3) étant conçus pour activer les moyens d'acquisition d'image (7), de manière à acquérir une séquence d'images (9) représentant ce qui est situé à l'avant du véhicule (5), ainsi que pour activer l'affichage de la séquence d'images (9) sur les moyens d'affichage (11) embarqués sur le véhicule (5).
