Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a call control device, a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), an Application Server (AS), and a method for processing user services.
- HSS Home Subscriber Server
- AS Application Server
- the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) proposes a next-generation network architecture based on Internet Protocol (IP), namely the Multimedia Core Network Subsystem (IMS). Compared with the traditional Circuit Switch (CS) domain, the IMS domain can provide users with rich multimedia services.
- IP Internet Protocol
- IMS Multimedia Core Network Subsystem
- 3GPP also proposed an IMS Centralized Services (ICS) network architecture.
- ICS IMS Centralized Services
- the traditional CS domain is degraded into the access network of the IMS domain, and the IMS domain acts as the core network to control the user services in a unified manner, thereby enabling implementation in 2G networks, 3G networks, or Long Term Evolution (LTE). Consistency and continuity of business experience in the network.
- an implementation of the ICS is to upgrade the mobile switching center (MSC) of the existing network to a mobile access gateway control function (mAGCF) device, so that the MSC domain supports the ICS function, thereby enabling the MSC domain to support the ICS function. Interworking between the CS domain and the IMS domain is implemented.
- MSC mobile switching center

- the upgrade of MSC in the current network is a gradual process.
- the IMS domain needs to implement unified control of the CS domain supplementary service through anchoring. For example, if the user equipment (User Equipment, UE) is in the CS domain, then the UE initiates a call or as a calling user equipment. When a call is received for the called user equipment, the call will be routed to the IMS domain of the home network of the UE, and the service is provided by the IMS domain.

- the call needs to be anchored back to the IMS domain in the home network of the called UE, and the call is connected to the called UE through the IMS domain. That is, the service of the called UE is uniformly controlled and provided by the IMS domain.
- the called UE roams, for example, after the called UE roams from the home country to another country, the called UE is in the visited network, and the difference between the visited network and the home network may cause the IMS domain of the home network to fail to trigger a certain Some services, such as services that need to return a failure cause value to the IMS domain.
- the failure reason value needs to be returned to the IMS domain of the home network of the called UE, and the IMS domain can trigger the late forwarding service for the called UE.
- the visited network due to the difference in the timer between the visited network and the home network, or the difference in the signaling mechanism, it is difficult for the visited network to return the failure cause value to the IMS domain of the home network, thereby causing the late forwarding service to fail to be triggered normally.
- the forward-forward service refers to the forwarding service triggered after the call is routed to the visited network, for example, the forwarded service when the called UE does not answer or the forwarded service when the called UE is busy.
- the calling UE initiates a call to the called UE.
- the call control device may determine whether the home network of the called UE communicates with the visited network of the called UE through the CS domain of the home network.
- the home network passes the CS domain of the home network and the visited network
- the network communicates to indicate the open CS domain roaming between the home network and the visited network, that is, the CS domain roaming agreement is signed between the home network and the visited network.
- the call control device indicates to the call routing device that the call initiated by the calling UE is routed to the visited network through the CS domain of the home network, thereby being visited by the visited network.
- the call is routed to the called UE.
- the call can be routed to the called UE through the CS domain of the home network instead of routing the call through the IMS domain of the home network. To the called UE.
- the CS domain of the visited network can trigger and provide the service of the called UE, so that the visited network does not need to return the service information to the home network in real time, thereby ensuring the called party.
- the normal triggering of the UE's service For example, for a late-forward service, the visited network can be directly triggered according to the failure cause value without returning the failure cause value to the home network, thereby ensuring the normal triggering of the late-forward service.
- the call control device receives an access domain acknowledgement request message carrying the identifier of the called UE from the call routing device, and determines, according to the identifier of the called UE, the CS domain of the called UE through the home network and the CS domain.
- the visited network of the UE is called to communicate, so the access domain acknowledgement response message carrying the indication information is sent to the call routing device to route the call to the visited network through the CS domain of the home network, so that the CS domain can control the service.
- the triggering rather than the triggering of the IMS domain control service, does not require the visited network to return information of the service to the home network in real time, thereby ensuring that the service of the called UE is normally triggered.
- the IMS domain is currently in the initial stage of development and has not yet been widely deployed.
- the IMS domain may not be deployed in the visited network, and the home network can only communicate with the visited network through the CS domain of the home network, and cannot communicate with the visited network through the IMS domain of the home network.
- embodiments of the invention are more applicable.
- the CS domain of the visited network is required to return the information of the service to the IMS domain of the home network in real time
