Description

ELASTIC HAIR, BRACELET AND ANKLET CORD
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
|000 ϊ { This application is in the field of hair adornment items and fashion accessories. More particularly, a customizable elastic hair, bracelet and anklet is provided that cm be cut to differing lengths as required for differing applications, can be customized as to color, and decoration.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002J The eiastic hair ties that can be found on the market today are very generic in their construction and design and do not effectively address the needs of the consumer. The majority of the designs on the market are a "one size fits a!f product. Other corapamcs have brought to the market eiastic hair ties that are sized based on a criteria of age. Generally they are made in adult or child's size. As a result, these products do not address the actual thickness of texture of an individual's hair. This docs not allow the user to have a product that is more suited for their needs O0O3| The products currently on the market are inexpensive and do not perform well or last very long due to basic problems with the quality of the material used in the construction. In order to keep prices low, the elastic material used is inferior and has a very short life span, both from retention of elasticity and breakage standpoint. A basic design flaw is a built in weakness in the product where a metal "crimp" is used to attach two ends of the hair tie together that creates a point of failure when used repeatedly. [0004] The Elastic Hair, Bracelet and Anklet Cord "Jelly Tic™" custom hair ties product is a simple solution io die problem, "The Elastic Hair, Bracelet and Anklet Cord product can come in a variet of long lengths but will predominately be in lengths of 34 inches. This length allows the user to cut the length that they need to create the perfect size hair tie for their individual style. The user simply ties the two ends into a knot to create the hair tie, bracelet or anklet that works best for them. What makes the Elastic Hair, Bracelet and Anklet Cord product unique are the materials used in the construction, the variety of applications and the additional ornaments that can be ut on the cord. An added benefit is that the ornaments will be sold separately creating an additional marketable item. It can also be used for art and craft projects, headbands and gift-wrapping.
[0005] The materials used create a product that is very strong and resilient to repeated use and can be stretched to four times its starting size. Because of this construction, the Elastic Hair, Bracelet and Anklet Cord will create a market for the complimentary ornaments to be sold separately. The product is very gentle on the user's hair and will reduce the amount of creasing and crimping while in use. This allows the user to move from activity to activity with minimum of effort on personal appearance.
[0006] Numerous innovations for the Elastic Hair, Bracelet and Anklet Cord have been provided in the prior art that are described as follows. Even though these innovations may be suitable for the specific individual purposes to which they address, they differ from the present design as hereinafter contrasted. The following is a summary of those prior art patents most relevant to this application at .hand, as well as a description outlining the difference between the features of the Elastic flair. Bracelet and. Anklet Cord and the prior art, fO0O7| US Patent Application Publication No. US 2009/0.178690 Aiof
