Description

DESCRIPTION
A WINDOW REGULATOR MECHANISM
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a window regulator mechanism which enables the up and down movement of the window in motor vehicles and moves together with the window. Background of the Invention
Today electronic components are widely used in automotive sector as they are used in every other sectors. The processes performed mechanically have become easier by adding simple electronic mechanisms to the present systems. The electric window systems operate based on moving the door or roof windows to be moved with the help of an electric motor by pushing a button. In electric window systems, auxiliary equipments are added to the mechanical window systems. The window opening handle is cancelled and window lifting motor is added instead. The said motor operating with electricity is controlled via an electric switch located inside the cabin, and the windows are closed and opened. German Patent Document no DEI 02008054895, an application known in the state, of the art, discloses a window lifter arrangement. In the door module, there is a window lifter arrangement with two deflecting elements, a guide element and an actuator for a window pane. The guide element is designed for guiding a movement of the actuator. The actuator is connected to the window lifter drive with a cable. In the invention, there is a guide rail fixed on the door on the lifter system and the rail is connected to the door with brackets. In the said system, the lifter is fixed on the door. The guide rails are mounted on the door via the brackets. Besides the unit powering the lifter mechanism is fixed on the door. The movement is transferred to the window via the cable and the rollers. Korean Patent Document no KR20010063466(A), an application known in the state of the art, discloses a window regulating device which holds the window glass and does not move it upwards and downwards. The window regulator is located on a door panel module. There is a driving motor and a driving gear on the module. In the door inner panel, there are support channels mounted at both sides of the module door panel; a guide rail having rollers, and sticking a window glass; a main arm fixed in a shaft of the driving gear; and an auxiliary arm fixed in the guide rail and a guide arm. Korean Patent Document no KR20000012743 (A), an application known in the state of the art, discloses a window regulating device which minimizes the weight and decreases the noise and sound. The mechanism comprises a mounting plate fixed in an inner part of a door; a positive and opposite driving motor installed in the mounting plate; a drum rotating in a positive or negative direction according to the direction of the drive; a guide rail installed to stand in the rising direction of a window glass; a carrier plate. In the said document, the regulator system is fixed on the door and the power unit transfers the movement to the glass with a switch mechanism. In the documents mentioned above, a regulator mechanism that can move with the window is not disclosed.
Summary of the Invention The objective of the present invention is to provide a window regulator which can move with the window.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a window regulator mechanism which has a gear system applied on door inner frame plate instead of guide piece. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a window regulator mechanism the first investment costs and the process times of which are lower than the state of the art. Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a window regulator mechanism which allows performing same process with less components by means of being able to move with the window.

5. Regulator body
6. Protrusion 7. Gear wheel
8. Regulator motor
9. Lower wheel
10. Hole
11. Electric cable
12. Socket
C. Window
The inventive window regulator mechanism (1) comprises:
- at least one frame plate (2) which is the inner part of the vehicle door,
- at least one guide (3) which is made on the surface of the frame plate (2), -at least one regulator assembly (4) which moves on the guide (3);
at least one regulator body (5) which is an element of the regulator assembly (4) and moves by being put on the guide (3),
- at least one protrusion (6) which is provided outwards the regulator body
(5),
at least two gear wheels (7) which are mounted on both sides of the regulator body (5),
at least one regulator motor (8) which is located inside the regulator body (5),
- at least two lower wheels (9) which are mounted on both sides of the regulator motor (8) and provide movement by contacting the gear wheel (7),
hole (10) which is made on the frame plate (2) and enables the regulator assembly (4) to move together with the window (C) upon the gear wheel
(7) and the lower wheels (9) contacting each other move therein,
- at least one electric cable (11) which transmits electric to the regulator motor (8) in the regulator assembly (4),
- at least one socket (12) which is provided at the other end of the electric cable (11) and attached to the electric installation coming to the door from the vehicle body. In the inventive window regulator mechanism (1), the window (C) is attached to the door and lifted to the upper position manually. In this position, the window (C) is completely closed on the door. The regulator assembly (4) is placed on the guide (3) made on the surface of the frame plate (2) and the gear wheels (7) and the lower wheels (9) are placed into the holes (10) made on the frame plate (2). The window (C) is pushed downwards from the closed position on the door and placed into the protrusion (6) on the regulator body (5). By this means mechanical connection is provided between the window (C) and the regulator assembly (4). The regulator assembly (4) performs its upwards or downwards movement with the window (C). The electric cable (1 1) is fixed on the door frame plate (2) with any connection member (screw, clips, etc). The socket (12) of the electric cable (1 1) is attached to the socket of the electric installation coming to the door from the vehicle body, and thus the electric connection is provided.
In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the regulator assembly (4) is comprised of the regulator body (5) and the protrusion (6) on its surface, gear wheel (7), regulator motor (8) and the lower wheels (9) connected to the regulator motor (8).
When the user wants to open or close the window (C), the electric coming to the door from the vehicle body upon pushing the button on the door handle is transmitted to the regulator motor (8) with the electric cable (11). The regulator motor (8) transfers the rotational movement to the lower wheels (9) provided on both sides on its shaft and thus to the gear wheels (7). The teeth of the gear wheels (7) inserted into the holes (10) on the frame plate (2) push the frame plate (2) with the rotational movement since they are inserted into the holes (10) on the door frame plate (2) and starts to move the regulator assembly (4). The regulator assembly (4) moving inside the guide (3) made on the frame plate (2) moves the window (C) attached to the protrusion (6) thereon together with itself. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the electric cable (1 1) is folded or opened according to the movement of the regulator assembly (4). In the alternative embodiment of the invention, the electric cable (11) is shape of an accordion and it can elongate or shorten according to the movement of the regulator assembly (4).
The inventive window regulator mechanism (1) is a mechanism which moves the window (C) by carrying directly on itself without requiring any additional mechanism. For this reason, being different from the previous art, it enables to reduce the first investment cost since additional connection members are not required and furthermore it also enables to decrease maintenance and repair costs since it does not comprise extra components.
