Abstract
A motor-driven instrument includes a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a retainer housing coupled to the distal end of the shaft, a rotary motor, and a tool head. The rotary motor including a motor body assembled with the retainer housing and an output shaft extending from a distal end of the motor body. The tool head includes a tubular proximal end secured to the retainer housing and receiving at least a portion of the motor body therein, and a distal end connected with the output shaft for rotation therewith.
