Abstract

A modular lighting device employed in retrofitting existing lighting units in which it provides enhanced luminosity with lower consumption of energy. The device is assembled with a combination of components as follows: a compact lighting module (1) and associated lens (18) with an array of COB or strip assemblies of LED or other technologically advanced chips (o-led, laser, etc.); a heat sink selected amongst varying heat sink configurations (21,21-22,21-22',21-23,24,25,26,27,28,28',29,29',30); a cooling fan (3); a regulated power supply circuit (4) with a pair of temperature sensors (5,6) including a soft starting circuit (7) of fan (3); a connector means selected amongst varying connector configurations (91,92,91-95,92-95) employed in the connection of the assembled modular lighting device to a power supply; a bundle of cables (10) providing power to the lighting module (1) and fan cooling unit (3) and if necessary a supporting base selected amongst a plurality of varying configurations (80,81,81 ',82,82\82", 83,84,85,86,87,88).
