Description
DESCRIPTION
A LOCATION CHANGER WITH VARIABLE MOMENTUM Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a location changer which is used in machines obtaining vibration by using weight, and which does not generate vibration by shifting from the state generating vibration (unbalance) to the state not generating vibration (balance), or which generates vibration by shifting from the state not generating vibration (balance) to the state generating vibration (unbalance).
Background of the Invention
Functioning of the machine by generating vibration in a machine is commonly used today. Machines such as vibro hammers, sieving machines, polishing machines, parquet and strip machines can be given as examples for the machines functioning with vibration.
For example, in vibro hammers one of these machines, there are at least for rotors for generating vibration. These rotors are arranged in two sets of two, one on top of the other (such that there will be one at each corner of a rectangle). Besides, the said rotors can also be comprised of two shafts such that two balances will be on a single shaft. There are weights in shape of a semi-cylinder in each one of the said rotors, and the system generates vibration by means of the said weights during rotation. In the case that the weights of the lower two rotors and those of the upper two rotors are at the same direction, vibrations are formed at the vibro hammer, whereas if they are at opposite directions, vibrations are not formed at the vibro hammer.
Another example for machines operating with vibration is sand sieving machines. Semi-cylindrical weights are placed on both sides of the chamber present in the said machines, vibration is generated by means of rotating the said weights in the machine and thus the machine performs its sieving function.
Besides the said machines the operational system of the machines such as polishing machines, parquet and strip machines and the machines operating with vibration aside from the said stated machines is generally performed by rotating the semi-cylindrical weights.
During rotating the semi-cylindrical weights, resonance is generated in a certain cycle range. Resonance is that a system oscillates in larger amplitudes in some frequencies than others. In these frequencies, even small periodic forces can generate very large amplitudes. This situation can cause substantial damages in the machines. Furthermore, at least for weights and a balance changing motor are required to have the state generating vibration (unbalance) in vibro hammers used today. This situation causes high costs in production of the said machines.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a location changer which does not generate resonance.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a location changer which enables vibration to be generated even only with one semi-cylindrical weight.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a location changer which generates vibration without needing to changing mechanism used in vibro hammers.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a location changer which generates vibration even only with one semi -cylindrical weight in vibro hammers.

Figure 6 is the perspective view of the location changer in the state not generating vibration (balance) in another embodiment.
Figure 7 is the perspective view of the two of the location changers together with the first transmission member and the second transmission member.
The components shown in the figures are each given reference numbers as follows:
1. Location changer
2. Shaft
3. Weight
4. Pusher
5. Slot
6. First transmission member
7. Second transmission member
8. Body
The inventive location changer (1), which does not generate vibration by shifting from the state generating vibration (unbalance) to the state not generating vibration (balance), or which generates vibration by shifting from the state not generating vibration (balance) to the state generating vibration (unbalance), essentially comprises
at least one shaft (2),
at least two weights (3) the angle values between which can be changed according to the preferred vibration force,
at least one pusher (4) which enables the weights (3) to move around the shaft, at least one slot (5) which is made for placing the pusher (4) to the weight (3), at least one first transmission member (6) which enables at least two shafts (2) and four weights (3) placed next to each other and/or on top of each other to operate synchronously,
at least one second transmission member (7) which provides the synchronization during changing the angle values between the weights (3) according to the preferred vibration force by moving a little less or more relative to the first transmission member (6),
at least one body (8) wherein one or more than one shafts (2) can be placed with their weights (3).
In an embodiment of the invention, there are at least two weights (3) around the shaft (2). One of the weights (3) may be fixed to the shaft (2), and the others can rotate easily around it, as well as all weights (3) can also rotate easily around the
shaft (2). The location changer (1) comprised of weights (3) and the shaft (2) is placed to the area wherein vibration generation is desired. During first placement, the weights (3) are preferably are in the state not generating vibration (balance). Then the shaft (2) is started to be rotated around its own axis in the state not generating vibration (balance). By means of being rotated like this, resonance is not generated in the location changer (1) and the changer (1 ) is prevented from being damaged. After the rotational cycle of the location changer (1) exceeds the resonance cycle, the angle between the weights (3) begins to be narrowed at a preferred cycle speed. The angle values between the weights (3) can be changed according to the preferred vibration force. In case wherein the total center of gravity of the weights (3) is farthest from the rotational axis of the shaft (2), in other words when the angle between the weights (3) is approximately zero, the highest vibration value is obtained from the location changer (1). In case wherein the total center of gravity of the weights (3) coincides with the rotational axis of the shaft (2), vibration is not generated in the location changer (1) and the system is balanced. The angle between the weights (3) present in the location changer (1) is changed via pusher (4) placed into the slot (5). The movement of the pusher (4) inside the slot (5) is preferably performed hydraulically. Besides, the movement of the pusher (4) inside the slot (5) can be performed pneumatically, electrically or electronically.
In another embodiment of the invention, there are at least two weights (3) around the shaft (2). The first transmission member (6) is placed on one surface of the weights (3), and the second transmission member (7) is placed on the other surface. Then the location changer (1) is mounted on the body (8) in this state. Another location changer (1) is placed in the previous location changer (1) such that the first transmission member (6) and the second transmission member (7) will operate synchronously. Then one of the location changers (1) is driven and by means of this drive the other location changers (1 ) can rotate synchronously with the location changer (1) which is driven. The weights (3) present in the location changers (1 ) are preferably in the state not generating vibration (balance) during
first placement. Then, the driven location changer (1) starts to rotate around its own axis in the state not generating vibration (balance). Thus, all other location changers (1 ) connected to the said location changer (I ) starts to rotate synchronously. By means of rotating the location changers (1 ) in the state not generating vibration (balance), resonance is not generated in the location changers (1) and the location changers (1) are prevented from being damaged. After the rotational cycle exceeds the resonance threshold and at a preferred cycle speed, the angle between the weights (3) present in each location changer (1 ) starts to be narrowed. During this narrowing process, the second transmission member (7) enables the angle values between the weights (3) present in each location changer (1) synchronously by moving a little less or more relative to the First transmission member (6). By means of the weights (3) present in each location changer (1 ) changing locations synchronously, the vibration force can be adjusted at a preferred rate. In case wherein the state not generating vibration (balance) is preferred, the total center of gravity of the weights (3) present in each location changer (1) becomes overlapped with the rotational axis of the shaft (2) to which the said weights (3) are connected, thus vibration is generated in no location changer (1). Bringing the weights (3) of all location changers (1) to the state not generating vibration (balance) is provided by means of the second transmission members (7).
In another embodiment of the invention, more than two weights (3) are placed around the shaft (2), and the angle values between the said weights (3) can be changed according to the preferred vibration force, furthermore in cases wherein the vibration generation is not preferred, total center of gravity of all weights (3) is adjusted such that it will pass through the rotational axis of the shaft (2) and thus no vibration is generated in the location changer (1).
In another embodiment of the invention, more than one location changer (1 ) having one shaft (2) a plurality of weights (3), one first transmission member (6) and one second transmission member (7) are placed next to each other and/or on
top of each other, and all location changers (1) are enabled to operate synchronously.
It is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive location changer (1). The invention cannot be limited to the examples described herein and it is essentially as defined in the claims.
