Description
本発明において、前記アリルアミン系重合体が、前記一般式(1)で表される単位のみからなる重合体であることが好ましい。
本発明において、前記アリルアミン系重合体の重量平均分子量(Mw)が300~60,000,000であることが好ましい。
本発明において、前記カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム100重量部に対する、前記アリルアミン系重合体の含有割合が、0.1~20重量部であることが好ましい。
本発明において、前記カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムが、マレイン酸モノn-ブチル単量体単位を含有するものであることが好ましい。
本発明において、前記カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムのヨウ素価が120以下であることが好ましい。
本発明のニトリルゴム組成物は、カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムと、後述する特定のアリルアミン系重合体と、を含有してなる。
まず、本発明で用いるカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムについて説明する。本発明で用いるカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムは、α,β-エチレン性不飽和ニトリル単量体、カルボキシル基含有単量体および必要に応じて加えられる共重合可能なその他の単量体を共重合することにより得られるゴムである。
なお、以下において、ヨウ素価が120以下のカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムを、「カルボキシル基含有高飽和ニトリルゴム」と言うことがある。
本発明のニトリルゴム組成物は、上述したカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムに加えて、下記一般式(1)で表される単位を含有するアリルアミン系重合体(以下、「アリルアミン系重合体」と略記する。)を含有する。
本発明のニトリルゴム組成物は、塩基性架橋促進剤をさらに含有していてもよい。塩基性架橋促進剤をさらに含有させることにより、耐圧縮永久ひずみ性の更なる向上が可能となる。
また、本発明のニトリルゴム組成物には、上述した各成分に加えて、ゴム加工分野において通常使用されるその他の配合剤を配合してもよい。このような配合剤としては、たとえば、補強剤、充填材、可塑剤、酸化防止剤、光安定剤、スコーチ防止剤、加工助剤、滑剤、粘着剤、潤滑剤、難燃剤、受酸剤、防黴剤、帯電防止剤、着色剤、シランカップリング剤、共架橋剤、架橋助剤、架橋遅延剤、発泡剤などが挙げられる。これらの配合剤の配合量は、配合目的に応じた量を適宜採用することができる。
このようなゴムとしては、アクリルゴム、エチレン-アクリル酸共重合体ゴム、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体ゴム、ポリブタジエンゴム、エチレン-プロピレン共重合体ゴム、エチレン-プロピレン-ジエン三元共重合体ゴム、エピクロロヒドリンゴム、ウレタンゴム、クロロプレンゴム、シリコーンゴム、フッ素ゴム、天然ゴム、ポリイソプレンゴムなどが挙げられる。
カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム以外のゴムを配合する場合における、ニトリルゴム組成物中の配合量は、カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム100重量部に対して、好ましくは60重量部以下、より好ましくは30重量部以下、さらに好ましくは10重量部以下である。
本発明のゴム架橋物は、上述した本発明のニトリルゴム組成物を架橋してなるものである。
本発明のゴム架橋物は、本発明のニトリルゴム組成物を用い、たとえば、所望の形状に対応した成形機、たとえば、押出機、射出成形機、圧縮機、ロールなどにより成形を行い、加熱することにより架橋反応を行い、架橋物として形状を固定化することにより製造することができる。この場合においては、予め成形した後に架橋しても、成形と同時に架橋を行ってもよい。成形温度は、通常、10~200℃、好ましくは25~120℃である。架橋温度は、通常、100~200℃、好ましくは130~190℃であり、架橋時間は、通常、1分~24時間、好ましくは2分~12時間、特に好ましくは3分~6時間である。
カルボキシル基含有(高飽和)ニトリルゴムを構成する各単量体単位の含有割合は、以下の方法により測定した。
すなわち、マレイン酸モノn-ブチル単位の含有割合は、2mm角のカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム0.2gに、2-ブタノン100mlを加えて16時間攪拌した後、エタノール20mlおよび水10mlを加え、攪拌しながら水酸化カリウムの0.02N含水エタノール溶液を用いて、室温でチモールフタレインを指示薬とする滴定により、カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム100gに対するカルボキシル基のモル数を求め、求めたモル数をマレイン酸モノn-ブチル単位の量に換算することにより算出した。
1,3-ブタジエン単位(水素化された部分も含む)の含有割合は、水素添加反応を行う前のカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムを用いて、ヨウ素価(JIS K 6235による)を測定することにより算出した。
アクリロニトリル単位の含有割合は、JIS K6383に従い、ケルダール法により、カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム中の窒素含量を測定することにより算出した。
カルボキシル基含有(高飽和)ニトリルゴムのヨウ素価は、JIS K 6235に準じて測定した。
カルボキシル基含有(高飽和)ニトリルゴムおよび該ゴム組成物のムーニー粘度(ポリマー・ムーニー、コンパウンド・ムーニー)は、JIS K6300-1に従って測定した(単位は〔ML1+4、100℃〕)。
ニトリルゴム組成物について、ゴム加硫試験機(ムービングダイレオメータMDR、アルファテクノロジーズ社製)を用い、170℃、30分の条件で架橋性試験を行った。そして、架橋性試験の結果から、最小トルク「ML」(単位は、dN・m)、最大トルク「MH」(単位は、dN・m)、T10(単位は、min.)、T50(単位は、min.)およびT90(単位は、min.)を測定した。なお、T10、T50およびT90は、「最大トルクMH-最小トルクML」を100%としたときに、トルクが最小トルクMLから、それぞれ、10%上昇するのに要する時間、50%上昇するのに要する時間、および90%上昇するのに要する時間を意味し、T90の値が小さいほど架橋速度が良好になる。
ニトリルゴム組成物を、縦15cm、横15cm、深さ0.2cmの金型に入れ、プレス圧10MPaで加圧しながら170℃で20分間プレス成形してシート状の架橋物を得た。次いで、得られた架橋物をギヤー式オーブンに移して170℃で4時間二次架橋し、得られたシート状のゴム架橋物を3号形ダンベルで打ち抜いて試験片を作製した。そして、得られたこの試験片を用いて、JIS K6251に従い、ゴム架橋物の引張強さおよび引張応力(20%引張応力、50%引張応力および100%引張応力)を、また、JIS K6253に従い、デュロメータ硬さ試験機(タイプA)を用いてゴム架橋物の硬さをそれぞれ測定した。
上記常態物性の評価と同様にしてシート状のゴム架橋物を得た後、JIS K6261に従いTR試験(低温弾性回復試験)により耐寒性を測定した。TR10(単位:℃)は耐寒性の指標であり、この値が低いほど耐寒性に優れると判断できる。
上記常態物性の評価と同様にして、シート状のゴム架橋物を得た後、JIS K6258に従い、該架橋物を40℃に調整した試験燃料油(Fuel BおよびFuel C。ただし、Fuel Bは体積比でイソオクタン:トルエン=70:30の混合物であり、Fuel Cは体積比でイソオクタン:トルエン=50:50の混合物である。)に、72時間浸漬することにより、耐燃料油浸漬試験を行った。
なお、耐燃料油浸漬試験においては、燃料油浸漬前後のゴム架橋物の体積を測定し、燃料油浸漬後の体積膨潤度△V(単位:%)を、「△V=([燃料油浸漬後の体積-燃料油浸漬前の体積]/燃料油浸漬前の体積)×100」に従って算出し、算出した体積膨潤度△Vにより評価した。
体積膨潤度△Vが小さいほど、耐油性に優れる。
内径29mm、深さ12.5mmの金型を用いて、ニトリルゴム組成物について、170℃、20分間、プレス圧10MPaの条件で架橋を行い、Diskセット試験用の一次架橋試験片を得た。さらに、得られた試験片の一部を170℃、4時間にて、二次架橋を行うことによりDiskセット試験用の二次架橋試験片を得た。そして、得られた一次架橋試験片および二次架橋試験片を用いて、各試験片を挟んだ二つの平面間の距離を試験片の厚み方向に25%圧縮した状態で、150℃にて72時間保持する条件で、JIS K6262にしたがってDisk圧縮永久ひずみを測定した。この値が小さいほど、耐圧縮永久ひずみ性に優れる。
内径30mm、リング径3mmの金型を用いて、ニトリルゴム組成物について、170℃、20分間、プレス圧5MPaの条件で架橋を行い、170℃、4時間にて、二次架橋を行うことによりO-リングセット試験用の試験片を得た。そして、得られた試験片を用いて、O-リング状の試験片を挟んだ二つの平面間の距離をリング厚み方向に25%圧縮した状態で150℃にて72時間保持する条件で、JIS K6262にしたがって、O-リング圧縮永久ひずみを測定した。この値が小さいほど、耐圧縮永久ひずみ性に優れる。
反応器に、イオン交換水180部、濃度10重量%のドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム水溶液25部、アクリロニトリル37.0部、マレイン酸モノn-ブチル4部、およびt-ドデシルメルカプタン(分子量調整剤)0.5部の順に仕込み、内部の気体を窒素で3回置換した後、1,3-ブタジエン57部を仕込んだ。反応器を5℃に保ち、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド(重合開始剤)0.1部を仕込み、攪拌しながら重合反応を継続し、途中重合転化率が40%、および60%になった時点で、それぞれ1部のマレイン酸モノn―ブチルを添加し16時間重合反応を継続した。次いで、濃度10重量%のハイドロキノン水溶液(重合停止剤)0.1部を加えて重合反応を停止した後、水温60℃のロータリーエバポレータを用いて残留単量体を除去し、カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムのラテックス(L1)(固形分濃度約30重量%)を得た。
合成例1と同様にして得られたカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムのラテックス(L1)に含有されるゴムの乾燥重量に対するパラジウム含有量が1,000ppmになるように、オートクレーブ中に、ラテックス(L1)およびパラジウム触媒(1重量%酢酸パラジウムアセトン溶液と等重量のイオン交換水を混合した溶液)を添加して、水素圧3MPa、温度50℃で6時間水素添加反応を行い、カルボキシル基含有高飽和ニトリルゴムのラテックス(L2)を得た。
バンバリーミキサを用いて、合成例2で得られたカルボキシル基含有高飽和ニトリルゴム(R2)100部に、FEFカーボン(商品名「シーストG-SO」、東海カーボン社製、カーボンブラック)40部、ポリオキシエチレンステアリルエーテルリン酸(商品名「フォスファノールRL-210」、東邦化学社製、加工助剤)1部、および、4,4’-ビス-(α,α-ジメチルベンジル)ジフェニルアミン(商品名「ノクラックCD」、大内新興化学工業社製、老化防止剤)1.5部を添加して混練し、次いで、混合物をロールに移して、ポリアリルアミン水溶液(商品名「PAA-01」、日東紡績株式会社製、架橋剤、上記一般式(4)で表される単位からなる重合体、重量平均分子量(Mw)1,600、15重量%水溶液)12.6部(固形分換算で1.89部)を添加して混練し、ニトリルゴム組成物を調製した。
実施例1において、カルボキシル基含有高飽和ニトリルゴム(R2)100部の代わりに、合成例1で得られたカルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム(R1)100部を使用した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてニトリルゴム組成物を作製し、同様に評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、ポリアリルアミン水溶液12.6部を添加する直前に、1,3-ジ-o-トリルグアニジン(商品名「ノクセラー DT」、大内新興化学工業社製、塩基性架橋促進剤)2部を添加した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてニトリルゴム組成物を作製し、同様に評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例3において、1,3-ジ-o-トリルグアニジン2部の代わりに、1,8-ジアザビシクロ[5,4,0]-ウンデセン-7(DBU)(商品名:「RHENOGRAN XLA-60(GE2014)」、RheinChemie社製、DBU60重量%(ジンクジアルキルジフォスフェイト塩になっている部分を含む)、およびアクリル酸ポリマーと分散剤40重量%からなるもの、塩基性架橋促進剤)4部を使用した以外は、実施例3と同様にしてニトリルゴム組成物を作製し、同様に評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、ポリアリルアミン水溶液(商品名「PAA-01」)12.6部の代わりに、ポリアリルアミン水溶液(商品名「PAA-25」、日東紡績株式会社製、架橋剤、上記一般式(4)で表される単位からなる重合体、重量平均分子量(Mw)25,000、10重量%水溶液)18.8部(固形分換算で、1.88部)を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてニトリルゴム組成物を作製し、同様に評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、ポリアリルアミン水溶液12.6部の代わりに、ヘキサメチレンジアミンカルバメート(商品名「Diak#1」、デュポン・ダウ・エラストマー社製、脂肪族多価アミン類に属するポリアミン系架橋剤)2.6部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてニトリルゴム組成物を作製し、同様に評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
一方、アリルアミン系重合体の代わりに、ポリアミン系架橋剤としてのヘキサメチレンジアミンカルバメートを使用した場合には、引張応力(特に、50%引張応力、100%引張応力)、耐油性、および耐圧縮永久ひずみ性に劣る結果となった(比較例1)。
Claims (8)
- 前記一般式(1)中のR1、R2およびR3が、水素原子である請求項1に記載のニトリルゴム組成物。
- 前記アリルアミン系重合体が、前記一般式(1)で表される単位のみからなる重合体である請求項1または2に記載のニトリルゴム組成物。
- 前記アリルアミン系重合体の重量平均分子量(Mw)が300~60,000,000である請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のニトリルゴム組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴム100重量部に対する、前記アリルアミン系重合体の含有割合が、0.1~20重量部である請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のニトリルゴム組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムが、マレイン酸モノn-ブチル単量体単位を含有する請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のニトリルゴム組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル基含有ニトリルゴムのヨウ素価が120以下である請求項1~6のいずれかに記載のニトリルゴム組成物。
- 請求項1~7のいずれかに記載のニトリルゴム組成物を架橋してなるゴム架橋物。
