Abstract

A camera sensor for a merchandise display security device (10) is provided for displaying and protecting cameras (12, 15) against theft. In one embodiment, the camera sensor includes a display stand (20) configured for receiving a sensor base (30) and a reversible sensor housing (60) configured for being attached to a camera (12) and positioned on the sensor base in opposite orientations. The sensor base includes a body (32) having a topside defining a symmetric geometry and the sensor housing includes a body (62) having an underside defining a symmetric geometry complimentary to the symmetric geometry of the sensor base. In another embodiment, the camera sensor further includes a reversible adapter (50) configured for being attached to a camera (15) and positioned on a sensor housing (40) in opposite orientations. The sensor housing has an opening (44) defining a symmetric geometry and the adapter includes a body (52) defining a symmetric geometry complimentary to the symmetric geometry of the sensor housing.
