Abstract
The invention relates to an electric machine (10), in particular a generator for a motor vehicle, having an exciting system comprising a plurality of electrically excited individual poles in the stator (16) or in the rotor (20) in the form of electromagnetically excitable poles (22, 23; 24, 25), which are axially oriented on the circumference and which are alternately poled in the circumferential direction, and permanent magnets (66) inserted in intermediate spaces (74) between the alternating poles (24, 25) in order to increase power by additional magnetic field strength and to reduce the magnetic leakage flux. The permanent magnets are retained by means of a retaining element (60) that cannot be magnetically excited. The retaining element (60) is retained in pole grooves (92, 94, 118) on both sides and is resilient. The retaining element (60) has a profile (108) in a wave shape and/or bead shape (132, 134). The retaining element (60) comprises radial clamping projections (108) having a radial oversize (106), tangentially deformable clamping projections (102, 112), and clamping (110) effective in the axial direction.
