Abstract
The author conceived of a new technical approach to realizing significantly improved solar performance for high visible transmission glass from chemistry modifications - to identify new compounds (concentrations and combinations) in addition to iron that exhibit properties for reduced solar transmission with high visible transmission glass. Many glass compounds can interact in ways not clearly understood but nevertheless produce favorable results with respect to improved solar transmission for high visible transmission glass. Statistically designed experimental techniques followed by regression modeling followed by optimization can uniquely uncover such compounds and interactions, as well as their optimum concentrations.
