Abstract
The invention relates to an armored vehicle comprising a body (7) that is connected to an armored steel frame (1) which surrounds an armored glass pane (5) at the edges. The aim of the invention is to reduce the weight of the armored steel frame (1) of such a vehicle in comparison with known armored steel frames (1). According to the invention, this is achieved in that the armored steel frame (1) is entirely or partly coated with a layer (8-8'') which is made of aramid, a glass fiber, or a PE fiber and which impedes the penetration of ballistic projectiles. This allows the walls of the armored steel frame (1) to be thinner than in known frames because some of the energy that is transmitted by the ballistic projectiles is absorbed by the relatively light layer (8-8'').
Description
BESCHREIBUNG DESCRIPTION
Gepanzertes Fahrzeug mit einer Panzerglasscheibe Armored vehicle with a bulletproof glass
The invention relates to an armored vehicle with a body, which is connected to an armored steel frame enclosing a bulletproof glass armor frame.
In vehicles in which the front, rear and / or side windows are made of bulletproof glass, the frame receiving the bulletproof glass pane serves both for mechanical fastening and as edge protection of the bulletproof glass pane. On the other hand, the frame should also provide protection against ballistic missiles, since the armor plates sandwiched together from several dividing discs are relatively sensitive at the edge. The transition armored glass pan is also a ballistic vulnerability. The frame for the bulletproof glass is therefore usually made of steel armor or aluminum in the required wall thickness for protection. This results in the case of the use of armor steel to a relatively high weight and in the case of the use of armored aluminum to very voluminous frame.
The invention has for its object to provide an armored vehicle of the type mentioned, in which the armor steel frame may have a lower weight, as this is the case with known armor steel frame.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further, particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention disclose the dependent claims.
The invention is based essentially on the idea of the armor steel frame in whole or in part with a from a ballistic bullets penetration resistant position
CONFIRMATION COPY (hereinafter also referred to as liner active layer), for example, aramid, a glass fiber or a PE fiber (PE: polyethylene) to coat. In question are all known as ballistic liners materials, usually fiber composites. By such a measure it is achieved that the armored steel frame may have a smaller wall thickness than known frames, because a part of the energy transmitted by the ballistic projectiles is absorbed by the relatively light liner active layer.
As the Applicant's experiments have shown, in the case of a liner-effect layer adhered only to the back of the armored steel frame, when the frame is bombarded, the liner-effect layer may come off. However, this can be avoided that the armor steel frame is either completely covered with the liner active layer or that in a partial sheathing, the ends of the liner-active layer are additionally secured.
In a Panzerstahlrahmen with Z-shaped cross-section, in which the steel frame is covered with respect to the armored glass substantially only on the outside with the liner active layer, such additional assurance of the liner active layer can be effected in that the first end of the liner-active layer engages behind the bulletproof glass horizontal web portion behind, while the second end of the liner-active layer is non-positively connected to the second horizontal web portion of the armored steel frame. Thus, this solution is a different way than the armor element presented in DE 102 31 607 A1.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the liner active layer, which is fastened only to the outside of the armor steel frame, is secured by an additional cover layer.
Es zeigen: Further details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following, with reference to figures explained embodiments. Show it:

Fig. 3 is a Fig. 1 corresponding figure, in which a liner-active layer the armor steel frame is partially encased and secured by an additional cover layer.
In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a Panzerstahlrahmen having a substantially Z-shaped cross section, wherein a first horizontal web portion 2 and a second horizontal web portion 3 are interconnected by a vertical web portion 4. At the armor steel frame 1 is a bulletproof glass pane 5 is attached by means of a corresponding potting compound 6 that the vertical web portion 4, whose length corresponds approximately to the wall thickness of the bulletproof glass pane 5, and the first horizontal web portion 2 abut the bulletproof glass pane 5. With the second horizontal web portion 3 of the armored steel frame 1, the body 7 of the vehicle, not shown, is connected.
As shown in FIG. 1 is directly removed, the armor steel frame 1 is completely encased with a ballistic bullets penetration-resistant layer 8, for example, aramid, a glass fiber or a PE fiber.
In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2, the armored steel frame, which is again denoted by 1, is encased in respect of the armored glass pane 5 essentially only on the outside with a layer 8 'which inhibits ballistic projectiles. In order to prevent detachment of the layer 8 ' upon impact of a ballistic projectile on the armored steel frame 1, the first end 9 of the layer 8 ' engages behind the vertical web part 4 facing away from the end of the first horizontal web part 2. The second end 10 of the layer 8 ' is connected to the second horizontal web part 3 non-positively.
In a further exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the armor steel frame 1 is encased only with respect to the armored glass pane 5 on the outside with a layer 8 "which inhibits ballistic projectiles With a designated 8 " position upon impact of a ballistic projectile on the armored steel frame 1, a cover layer 11 is provided, the first end 12 engages behind the vertical web portion 4 remote from the end of the first horizontal web portion 2. The second end 13 of the cover layer 11 with the second horizontal web part 3 positively connected.
