Definitions
- the present invention relates to a wet suit.
- the present invention relates to a wet suit suitable for use in marine sports such as surfing, windsurfing, and diving.
- wet suits are available, and typical types include a full suit type that is integrated with the top and bottom to cover the whole body. Since the wet suit is formed of a flexible material, it is relatively close to the body, and it is difficult for water or seawater to enter the suit. Therefore, it is possible to enjoy marine sports such as surfing comfortably.
- wet suit having an appropriate size so as to fit the wearer's body well. This is because if the size of the wet suit is not appropriate, water infiltrates in accordance with the movement of the body, and the heat retention is greatly impaired. Therefore, wet suits are often provided by so-called tailor-made. This is because each part of the wearer's body is measured to provide a wet suit suitable for the wearer's body shape.
- custom-made products are expensive to manufacture, and the wet suit becomes expensive. Therefore, for example, if the size of the trunk is classified into a plurality of types such as for standard body shape, for slim body shape, and for thick body shape, and wet suits corresponding to those types are mass-produced by ready-made, Manufacturing cost can be reduced. If it does so, it can provide to a wearer comparatively cheaply.
- Patent Document 1 describes a wet suit that has been devised so that it fits the wearer's body relatively even if the body shape is different. Since the wet suit described in Patent Document 1 is provided with a predetermined side gusset on the side, even if the body shape is somewhat different, the side fits relatively to the wearer's body without loosening the side. That is, sufficient adhesion can be obtained at the sides. Then, even if the size of the side of the wet suit is slightly different from the size of the side of the wearer, the wet suit fits the wearer's body sufficiently.
- the wet suit described in Patent Document 1 is devised around the side, and can be fitted to people of relatively various body shapes. Therefore, even if the wet suit is provided by a ready maid, it can be fitted to the trunk to some extent.
- the sleeve length and hem length of the wet suit are formed long in advance and the sleeve and hem portions are cut according to the length of the wearer's limbs.
- the sleeve portion 50 of the conventional wet suit is sewn by a seam 51, and a fray stop 52 is applied to the tip portion thereof. This is to prevent the sewing thread from fraying, and such a fray stop 52 is provided only at one point of the tip. Accordingly, when the sleeve portion 50 is cut to shorten the sleeve length, the frayed portion is lost at the cut portion as shown in FIG.
- the sleeve 50 is formed with a smaller diameter toward the tip. That is, as shown in FIG. 3A, the diameter L2 ′ at the tip of the sleeve 50 is smaller than the diameter L3 ′ near the elbow. Therefore, the diameter L4 ′ of the cut surface is larger than the diameter L2 ′ of the tip portion before cutting. If it does so, since the part by which the sleeve part 50 was cut
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and is to provide a wet suit adapted to the length of a wearer's limb while being a ready-made wet suit that can be mass-produced and provided at low cost. It is aimed. Specifically, the sleeve length and hem length can be adjusted according to the length of the wearer's limbs, and even if adjusted as such, water penetration from the sleeve and hem is sufficiently suppressed. The aim is to provide a wetsuit that can.
- the object of the present invention is to form the tip of the sleeve or hem of the wet suit into a cylindrical shape having a constant diameter over a predetermined length, and fray at a plurality of locations with respect to the sewn portion of the tip. This is achieved by applying anti-fray stitching for prevention.
- the invention according to claim 1 is a fray stopper that is sewn at a predetermined width so as to cross a seam in a wet suit having a sleeve portion that is sewed from a predetermined fabric and through which a wrist is passed.
- the wet suit is characterized in that the processing is performed at a plurality of locations in the longitudinal direction on the sewing portion in the vicinity of the distal end portion of the sleeve portion.
- the invention according to claim 2 is a wet suit having a hem that is sewn from a predetermined fabric and through which an ankle is passed, and is provided with a fraying prevention process that is sewn at a predetermined width so as to cross a seam.
- the wet suit is characterized in that it is applied to a sewing portion in the vicinity of the front end portion of the hem portion at a plurality of locations in the longitudinal direction.
- the invention according to claim 2 is the wet suit according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a diameter is formed constant in the vicinity of a tip portion where the fraying prevention sewing is performed.
- the sewn portion of the predetermined length of the sleeve portion or the hem portion of the wet suit is subjected to fraying prevention processing at a plurality of locations, so that a plurality of locations subjected to fraying prevention processing. Can be cut between any two adjacent locations. Even if cut in this way, the progress of fraying of the sewing thread is suppressed by fraying prevention processing. That is, the sewing thread is not substantially frayed and the fabric is not separated. Moreover, since the diameter of the tip of the sleeve or skirt is formed constant, it is ensured that the diameter of the cut cuff or hem is constant.
- the length of a sleeve length and hem length can be adjusted according to the length of a wearer's limb. Therefore, if several types of wet suits corresponding to the size of the trunk are prepared and these sleeves and hems are made long, it can be fitted to the body shape of most wearers. Therefore, a wet suit that fits the body shape of each person can be provided at a low cost by the ready maid.
- FIG. 1 is a front view of a wet suit according to an embodiment of the present invention. It is a figure which shows the sleeve part of the wet suit which concerns on embodiment of this invention, The (a) shows the state before a cutting
- the wet suit 10 according to the present embodiment is a vertically integrated suit that covers the entire body from the neck down.
- the wet suit 10 according to the present embodiment can also be manufactured from various fabrics in the same manner as conventionally known wet suits.
- the wet suit 10 is made of a fabric made of chloroprene rubber that is rich in elasticity and elasticity. It is manufactured.
- the thickness of the fabric can be various, the wet suit 10 according to the present embodiment is composed of a fabric having a thickness of about 3 mm for surfing.
- the wet suit 10 can be sewn by various sewing methods such as a sewing method in which a sewing thread does not penetrate the back surface of the fabric, a so-called scooping sewing method, and a sewing method that penetrates the back surface of the fabric.
- sewing is performed by a sewing method that penetrates the back surface of the fabric, and the fabric is firmly sewn together. Therefore, the cylindrical portions 15 and 15 through which the limbs are passed, that is, the sleeve portions 11 and 11 and the skirt portions 12 and 12 are also sewn by this sewing method.
- the distal end portion 13 of the sleeve portion 11 is formed in a cylindrical shape having a constant diameter L1 by a predetermined length.
- the length of the sleeve portion 11 and the length of the tip portion 13 are appropriately selected so that the sleeve length can be adjusted even if the length of the wearer's arm is different.
- the length of the sleeve portion 11 excluding the tip portion 13 is slightly shorter, and the entire length of the sleeve portion 11 including the tip portion 13 is slightly longer.
- the sleeve 13 can be adjusted by cutting the distal end portion 13 according to the length of the wearer's arm.
- the tip portion 13 of the sleeve portion 11 is subjected to fraying prevention processing. More specifically, since the sleeve 11 is formed by sewing the cloth made of chloroprene rubber, the seam 20 is formed in the sleeve 11 in the longitudinal direction. A plurality of stitches having a predetermined width across the seam 20, that is, fray stoppers 21, 21,... Therefore, the seams of the fray stops 21, 21,... Are orthogonal to the seam 20. Alternatively, the seams of the fray stoppers 21, 21,... Are parallel to the cuffs. These fray stops 21, 21,... May be provided densely, or may be provided with a certain distance therebetween. Moreover, it may be provided at equal intervals or may be provided at arbitrary intervals.
- the skirts 12 and 12 are configured in the same manner as the sleeves 11 and 11. That is, the tip portions 14 and 14 having a predetermined length of the bottom portions 12 and 12 are also formed in a cylindrical shape having a constant diameter. A plurality of fray stops are also applied to the seams at the tip portions 14 and 14 so as to be orthogonal to the seams over the longitudinal direction.
- the operation of the wet suit 10 according to the present embodiment will be described.
- the sleeve portion 11 of the wet suit 10 is cut according to the length of the wearer's arm as shown in FIG. Since the tip portion 13 is formed in a cylindrical shape having a constant diameter L1, the diameter L1 of the cut portion is the same as the diameter L1 of the tip portion before cutting. Therefore, when it is worn, it is in close contact with the vicinity of the wearer's wrist, so water can be prevented from entering. Since the sleeve portion 11 of the wet suit is made of a flexible material and is elastic and stretches, the wrist is not tightened even when the diameter of the cuff is relatively small. The wet suit 10 can be worn comfortably.
- the tip portion 13 of the sleeve portion 11 is provided with a plurality of fray stops 21, 21,..., Fraying does not proceed even if the tip portion 13 is cut at any point.
- the hem portion 12 also cuts the distal end portion 14 according to the length of the wearer's foot. Since the diameter of the distal end portion 14 of the skirt portion 12 is also constant, the diameter of the cut portion does not increase, and it is in close contact with the wearer's ankle. That is, water does not enter from the ankle. And since fraying prevention is given, fraying does not advance from a cutting part. *
- the wet suit 10 according to the present embodiment can be variously modified.
- the material of the wet suit 10 has been described as being made of chloroprene rubber, any material can be used as long as it can prevent the intrusion of seawater, is excellent in heat retention, and has flexibility. Good.
- the sewing method can also be modified, and the sewing method may be sewn from a sewing method by scooping that does not penetrate the back of the fabric.
- the fraying stopper has been described as being sewn so as to be orthogonal to the seam of the sewn part, but may be sewn so as to be oblique to the seam of the sewn part, and further X-shaped with each other. May be sewed by a pair of seams intersecting each other.
- either one of the sleeve portion and the hem portion, for example, only the skirt portion may be adjusted in length, and as an example, a short-sleeved wet suit can be given.
