Abstract

La présente invention concerne un extrait d'Ecklonia cava doté d'une activité de blanchiment de la peau, plus particulièrement une composition pharmaceutique et une composition cosmétique destinées au blanchiment de la peau contenant un extrait d'Ecklonia cava qui a une activité d'inhibition sur la biosynthèse de la tyrosinase et de la mélanine, et un composé de phlorotannine isolé à partir de celui-ci. Selon la présente invention, l'extrait d'Ecklonia cava et un composant de celui-ci, le 7-phloroeckol, ont un fort effet d'inhibition sur la tyrosinase des champignons. En particulier, le 7-phloroeckol a un effet d'inhibition important sur la tyrosinase des champignons et sur la mélanogenèse dans les cellules de mélanome.
