Abstract
Description
特許文献1に示すようなマイクロギャップ式のサージアブソーバでは、波尾長の長い電流サージが進入した場合、内部素子のダメージが大きいという不都合があった。また、特許文献2に示すようなカーボントリガ線式のサージアブソーバでは、主放電を形成するための突起状の電極を設ける必要があると共に、突起状の電極の先端に放電助剤を塗布して放電開始電圧を安定させる必要があり、製造コストが増大してしまう問題があった。
すなわち、本発明に係るサージアブソーバによれば、一対の端子電極部材の内表面に、中央部が盛り上がった膨出電極材が形成され、該膨出電極材に、端子電極部材よりも電子放出能の高い金属が含まれているので、簡易な構成で容易に作製可能であり、波尾長の長いサージにも耐えることができると共に、安定した放電開始電圧が得られる。
一対の端子電極部材2の内表面には、中央部4aが盛り上がった膨出電極材4が形成されている。
上記トリガ部6は、炭素材で形成されたカーボントリガであって、図1のような楕円膜状以外に線状に形成しても構わない。
上記放電制御ガスは、He、Ar、Ne、Xe、SF6、CO2、C3F8、C2F6
、CF4、H2及びこれらの混合ガス等の不活性ガスである。
なお、上記ロウ材5は、上述したように端子電極部材2と別体で設置しても良いが、端子電極部材2の接合面に予め接合させて二層構造にして溶融及び接合を行っても構わない。
さらに、膨出電極材4が、接着用のロウ材5を溶融させた際に端子電極部材2の内表面で表面張力により膨出状態に形成させたものであるので、端子電極部材2と絶縁性管3との接着と同時に中央部4aが盛り上がった膨出電極材4を容易に形成することができる。
また、絶縁性管3が、角筒形状のセラミックス材で形成されているので、ガラス管等に比べて高い信頼性を有すると共にチップ状又はブロック状のため表面実装が容易になる。
また、サージ印加後も実施例1及び比較例2では劣化していないが、比較例1では劣化していた。
このように本発明の実施例1では、応答性に優れていると共に高いサージ耐性を有していることがわかる。
Claims (5)
- 互いに対向配置された一対の端子電極部材と、
前記一対の端子電極部材を両端に配して内部に放電制御ガスを封止する絶縁性管と、を備え、
前記一対の端子電極部材の内表面に、中央部が盛り上がった膨出電極材が形成され、
該膨出電極材に、前記端子電極部材よりも電子放出能の高い金属が含まれていることを特徴とするサージアブソーバ。 - 請求項1に記載のサージアブソーバにおいて、
前記膨出電極材が、前記端子電極部材と前記絶縁性管とを接着するロウ材であって該ロウ材を溶融させた際に前記端子電極部材の内表面で表面張力により膨出状態に形成させたものであることを特徴とするサージアブソーバ。 - 請求項2に記載のサージアブソーバにおいて、
前記膨出電極材が、Agを含むロウ材で形成されていることを特徴とするサージアブソーバ。 - 請求項1に記載のサージアブソーバにおいて、
前記絶縁性管の内周面であって一対の前記端子電極部材の中間部分に、導電性材料で形成されたトリガ部が設けられていることを特徴とするサージアブソーバ。 - 請求項1に記載のサージアブソーバにおいて、
前記絶縁性管が、角筒形状のセラミックス材で形成されていることを特徴とするサージアブソーバ。
