Abstract
Disclosed herein is a ZigBee-based wireless security system which transmits intrusion information using an SMS message and a voice message upon receiving an intrusion signal from intrusion detection modules within a security zone. The system includes at least one intrusion detection module installed within a security zone and generating an intrusion signal upon detection of any intrusion attempt, a communication module including a first communication unit to receive the intrusion signal from the intrusion detection module, and a central control device connected to the communication module to determines whether an intrusion has occurred according to the intrusion signal from the communication module and to transmit intrusion information corresponding to the intrusion signal. The intrusion detection module communicates with the communication module based on the ZigBee standard. The system allows the intrusion detection modules to be installed at desired locations within the security zone. Furthermore, since intrusion information is transmitted using an SMS message and a voice message upon detecting intrusion, it is possible to achieve efficient security.
