を含む利用制限値制御方法。 - 番組を構成する映像データおよび音声データの少なくとも一方を含むAV(Audio and Visual)データであって、所定の著作権保護方式に規定される利用制限値が付されたAVデータを記録および再生する記録再生装置を制御するプログラムであって、
前記記録再生装置が備えるAV記録媒体、および、前記記録再生装置とネットワークを介して接続された他の装置に記録されている、同一番組のAVデータである複数のAVデータを検索する検索ステップと、
前記検索ステップにおいて検索された複数のAVデータの画質の比較を行う比較ステップと、
前記比較ステップにおける比較の結果に基づいて、前記複数のAVデータのうちの画質の低いAVデータの利用制限値を所定の値だけ減らし、かつ、前記複数のAVデータのうちの画質が高いAVデータの利用制限値を前記所定の値だけ増やすように、利用制限値の移動を行わせる制限値移動ステップと
をコンピュータに実行させるためのプログラム。
