Abstract

A bearing set (1) for a shaft, an impeller or the like to be guided axially and radially, comprising a ball bearing (5, 6, 7, 8) that absorbs operation-related axial forces and a cylinder roller bearing (2, 3, 4, 8) that absorbs back pressure forces which develop and is configured as a support bearing, wherein the cylinder roller bearing (2, 3, 4, 8) on the side facing the ball bearing (5, 6, 7, 8) is shortened by the rib width at the inner and outer races (2, 8), the outer or inner race (2, 8) on the side facing away from the ball bearing (5, 6, 7, 8) has a conventional, radial thrust rib (9), and the cylinder rollers (3) rest against the front (10) of the outer or inner race (5, 8) of the ball bearing (5, 6, 7, 8) and against the thrust rib (9) of the cylinder roller bearing (2, 3, 4, 8) when a back pressure force develops.
