- the present invention relates to a grease composition and a bearing, and more particularly, to a grease composition suitable for use in a rolling bearing for automobile electrical equipment and auxiliary equipment, and a rolling bearing for automobile electrical equipment and auxiliary equipment in which the grease composition is enclosed.
- the seals used in bearings are mainly made of materials based on polyacrylic rubber (ACM), which has higher heat resistance than the conventional resin and rubber materials. It is coming. Under such circumstances, grease is required to have a long bearing lubrication life at high temperatures and to have excellent compatibility with a sealing material, that is, an ACM material.
- ACM polyacrylic rubber
- Patent Document 1 discloses a diurea compound represented by the following general formula as a thickener in a base oil containing an ether-based synthetic oil in an amount exceeding 50% by mass. A grease composition using is described.
- R 1 represents a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms
- R 2 and R 3 are the same or different groups, and are a cyclohexyl group, a cyclohexyl derivative group having 7 to 12 carbon atoms, or Represents an alkyl group having 8 to 20 carbon atoms
- the ratio of the number of moles of the cyclohexyl group and its derivative group to the total number of moles of the cyclohexyl group, the cyclohexyl derivative group having 7 to 12 carbon atoms and the alkyl group having 8 to 20 carbon atoms is 50 ⁇ 100%.
- this grease composition lacks compatibility between the base oil and the thickener, and lacks inflow properties, so that the bearing life is not satisfactory.
- the present invention provides the following grease composition and a bearing in which the grease composition is enclosed. 1.
- the base oil contains a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, and the content of the synthetic hydrocarbon oil in the base oil is 20% by mass or more of the whole base oil.
- R 1 NHCONH—R 2 —NHCONH—R 3
- R 2 represents a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms
- R 1 and R 3 are the same or different groups, and are a cyclohexyl group, a straight chain having 8 to 18 carbon atoms, This represents a branched alkyl group, and the number of moles of the cyclohexyl group relative to the total number of moles of R 1 and R 3 is 60 to 95%.
- the base oil further comprises an ether-based synthetic oil. 3.
- the grease composition of the present invention uses a specific cycloaliphatic / aliphatic diurea as a thickener, the inflow of the grease composition to the lubricating part is ensured, and a synthetic hydrocarbon oil is used as the base oil.
- a base oil in which the content of the synthetic hydrocarbon oil in the base oil is 20% by mass or more of the whole base oil, and the content of the ester-based oil in the base oil is 20% by mass or less of the whole base oil Therefore, heat resistance and acrylic rubber resistance are secured. Therefore, the grease composition of the present invention, when used in a bearing, can extend the life of the bearing even in a high temperature environment, and has excellent acrylic rubber resistance. It is an alternator, an electromagnetic clutch for a car air conditioner, an intermediate pulley, an idler. It is particularly suitable as a grease composition used for electrical equipment and auxiliary machinery bearings such as pulleys and tension pulleys.
- the carbon number of the linear or branched alkyl group having 8 to 18 carbon atoms to be combined is also related to the fluidity of the grease, and therefore preferably has 16 to 18 carbon atoms. These may be a mixture of two or more kinds having different carbon numbers.
- the base oil of the grease composition of the present invention contains a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, and the content of the synthetic hydrocarbon oil is 20% by mass or more, preferably 40% by mass or more of the whole base oil.
- base oils other than synthetic hydrocarbon oils all base oils including mineral oil can be used.
- ester synthetic oils represented by diesters and polyol esters, alkyl diphenyl ethers, ether synthetic oils represented by polypropylene glycol, silicone synthetic oils, and fluorine synthetic oils can be used.
- ester-based synthetic oil increases the fluidity of the grease and is effective in extending the bearing lubrication life, but it swells and deteriorates acrylic rubber, so it is better not to use ester-based synthetic oil. In such a case, the content is 20% by mass or less based on the entire base oil.
- additives usually used in grease compositions can be added as necessary.
- additives include antioxidants typified by amines and phenols, inorganic passivating agents such as sodium nitrite, sulfonates, succinic acids, amines, and carboxylates.
- Rust inhibitors, metal corrosion inhibitors typified by benzotriazole, oiliness agents typified by fatty acids, fatty acid esters and phosphate esters, antiwear and extreme pressure agents typified by phosphorus, sulfur and organometallics
- solid lubricants typified by metal oxide salts and molybdenum disulfide.
- additives for suppressing hydrogen brittle exfoliation such as passivating agents (for example, those described in Japanese Patent No. 2878749), organic sulfonates, thiocarbamates and the like (for example, those described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2007-262300) ) Can also be added.
- Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6 Preparation of test grease In a base oil, a predetermined amount of amine (cyclohexylamine, stearylamine, p-toluidine) is reacted with aromatic diisocyanate (diphenylmethane diisocyanate) so that the penetration is 280 (JIS K2220). A base grease was prepared by diluting with oil. Additives were added to this grease to prepare grease compositions of Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6.

- Thickener C Aromatic diurea (using p-toluidine)
- the prepared grease composition was evaluated by the following test method. The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2.
- Bearing lubrication life test (according to ASTM D3336) Inner ring rotation test to evaluate bearing life at high temperatures. Operation was performed under the following conditions, and when the motor overcurrent or the temperature increased by 15 ° C. from the specified temperature, the life was judged.
- Acrylic rubber immersion test (JIS K-6258) After measuring the volume of the test rubber before the test, the test rubber is immersed in grease packed in a bottle and left in a constant temperature bath at a specified temperature. After reaching the specified time, the volume of the test rubber is measured and the volume change rate is calculated. Test temperature: 180 ° C Test time: 72 hours Volume change rate: Change rate 20% or less Acceptable comprehensive evaluation Bearing lubrication life test 600 hours or more pass Acrylic rubber immersion test Volume change rate 20% or less Acceptable penetration: (Consistency is unified to 280)

Abstract
Description
(I) R1-NHCONH-R2-NHCONH-R3
