Abstract

A caster having the following four elements: a lower support member (10) to which a wheel (8) is rotatably mounted, an intermediate support member (11) rotatable relative to the lower support member (10), a liftable support member (12) connected by screw thread to the intermediate support member (11), and an upper support member (13, 14) supported by the liftable support member (12). The upper support member (13, 14) is mounted to a piece of furniture. When the liftable support member is rotated, the upper support member moves vertically. The intermediate support member (11) has a vertically long hollow section (11h), and in the hollow section (11h) are arranged a vertically movable 12th interlocking member (10) for locking rotation and travel and a horizontally movable rotation stopper (17).
