Abstract

A construction method of a large space structure (1) in which the stress remaining after construction due to deformation during a lift up can be reduced. The construction method of a large space structure is characterized in that truss columns (21, 21) becoming the columns of a gate truss (2) are erected on the front (F) side at an interval in the lateral direction, a back side portion (4) is constructed on the rear (R) side, a truss beam (22) becoming the beam of the gate truss and a roof structure (3) extending from the truss beam toward the rear side are assembled in the vicinity of the ground, the truss beam and the rear end portion of the roof structure are lifted up to a predetermined height, the truss beam and the truss column are joined in such a state that the rear end portion is lifted to a higher position than the truss beam, and then the rear end portion is lowered and joined to the back side portion.
