Abstract

An optical connection structure not occupying a large space on a substrate, easily aligned in position, and connectable and disconnectable. The optical connection structure is formed by connecting optical transmission media (1) and an optical function component (16) via an optical connection component (100). The optical connection component (100) has a holding section (102) for holding the optical transmission media (1) and also has a positioning holes (H) formed in the shape of the optical function component (16). The optical function media (1) are positionally aligned with the optical function component (16) while being bundled by the positioning hole (H).
