Abstract

It is possible to suppress power consumption of a radio terminal device. Radio communication means (2a to 2n) are arranged to correspond a plurality of radio methods such as GSM and W-CDMA and radio-communicate with a base station. Current communication cell information acquisition means (3) acquires peripheral cell information in the radio method which is communicating with the base station. When the peripheral cell information acquired by the current communication cell information acquisition means (3) is different from the previous peripheral cell information acquired previously, non-communication cell information acquisition means (4) acquires the peripheral cell information by radio communication means (2a to 2n) corresponding to the radio method which is different from the radio method of the acquired peripheral cell information.
