Description
STRUCTURE OF AIR DISCHARGE PORT FOR DUST
CLEARING NOZZLE
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a structure of an air discharge opening formed in a dust removal device. Background Art
[2] Conventionally, in case of a dust removal nozzle for removing fine dusts attached on a surface of a glass, a film and the like for PDPs and LCDs, since the structure of air discharge opening through which air of the conventional dust removal device is discharged is constructed to have a " — " shape, an air injection area of the air discharge opening is restricted, which makes it difficult to separate fine dusts or particular dusts attached on the surface of the glass or film and the like, from the surface thereof.
[3] In order to solve such disadvantages of the prior art, it is required to inject high pressure air onto the surface of the glass or the film, and the like. In this case, a large capacity motor should be used to produce high pressure air so as to inject high pressure air onto the surface of the glass, the film and the like. As a result, noise is generated from the large capacity motor, and an increase of the motor results in a scale-up of peripheral devices to thereby increase expenses for facilities and require larger installation space.
[4]
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[5] Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve such conventional problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a dust removal nozzle, in which a cross-section of the air discharge opening of the dust removal nozzle for separating fine dusts from the surface of the glass and the film, and the like is formed to have a "-"(or "s") shape and/or a "w" shape so as to widen an injection area of the air so that fine dusts can be separated at lower pressure to increase a removal ratio of the fine dusts through an air suction opening, thereby increasing the proceeding speed of the dust removal process to improve productivity as compared to the structure of the conventional air discharge opening of the dust removal nozzle.
[6]
Technical Solution
[7] To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a structure of an air discharge opening in a dust removal nozzle, which is formed with air discharge
openings for discharging air and air suction openings for suctioning fine dusts so that fine dusts attached on a surface of a glass, or a film, and so on by the discharge and suction of the air, wherein a cross-section of the air discharge opening in the dust removal nozzle is formed to have a continuous serpentine shape. [8]
Advantageous Effects
[9] As described above, according to the structure of the air discharge opening in the dust removal nozzle of the present invention, it is possible to increase air volume discharged from the dust removal nozzle and widen an injection area by constructing a cross-section of the air discharge opening 40 for discharging the air in the dust removal nozzle 40 to have a "-" shape and/or a "w" shape. As a result, it is possible to emit air in various directions to thereby separate fine dusts effectively and reduce air discharge pressure, and to reduce noise produced from the discharge of the air and shaking phenomena of the dust removal object due to the discharge pressure so that a ratio of defective product may be reduced. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[20] FIG. 4
[21]
Mode for the Invention
[22] Hereinafter, the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the appended drawings.
[23] FIG. l(a) is a view showing a state in which air is emitted through a conventional air discharge opening, FIG. l(b) is a view showing a state in which air is emitted through an air discharge opening according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a cross- sectional view showing a process of dust removal through a conventional air discharge opening, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a process of dust removal through an air discharge opening of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[24] A structure of the conventional dust removal nozzle and an embodiment thereof will be described hereinafter.
[25] The dust removal nozzle 30 is constructed such that a dust discharge opening and an air supply portion are provided at one side of the dust removal nozzle 30 so as to perform the discharge and suction action of the air in a body of the dust removal nozzle, an air discharge opening 40 is provided at a lower portion of the dust removal nozzle 30 so as to discharge the air, and an air suction opening 50 is provided at both sides of the air discharge opening 40 so as to suction fine dusts. In the conventional dust removal structure, fine dusts attached on a surface of a glass, a film or the like is removed by the discharge and suction of the air, while they are transported on and beneath the upper and lower portion of the dust removal nozzle 30.
[26] However, as shown in FIG. l(a) and FIG. 2, the conventional air discharge opening
40 is formed to have a " — " shape, so that an air injection area of the air discharge opening 40 is restricted and the air was discharged from one direction, when viewed from the position of the dusts.
[27] As a result, there occur disadvantages that it is not an optimal structure to remove fine dusts attached on the surface of the glass, the film or the like, or dusts floating as particles, so that a large capacity motor should be employed to discharge high pressure air, and noise is produced instantly due to the leak of the air to the outside of the dust removal nozzle 30 by the impact of the air discharged from the air discharge opening 40 to the whole surface of the glass 20, and instant shaking phenomena occurs at an object such as the glass 20, the film or the like to be removed of the dust due to high pressure, so that a possibility of producing defective products is increased.
[28] Therefore, the structure of the air discharge opening of the present invention is constructed, as shown in FIG. l(b), FIG. 3, and FIG. 4, such that a cross-section of the air discharge opening 40 of the dust removal nozzle 30 is formed to have a "-"(or "s") shape and/or a "w" shape, which is contoured by a continuous serpentine configuration, so that air can be discharged in every direction including upward and downward, right and left directions, from the air discharge opening 40 to thereby impact on the surface of the glass 20 in sequence. As a result, leak of the air to the outside of the dust removal nozzle 30 can be prevented to thereby reduce air discharge
noise produced from high discharge pressure through the existing contact surface.
[29] In addition, when comparing the volume of the air discharged from the dust removal nozzle 30 through an existing " — " shaped opening to the outside with that of the air discharged from the dust removal nozzle 30 through the air discharge opening having a cross-section of a "-" shape and/or a "w" shape of the present invention, which is formed in a continuous serpentine shape, the air discharge volume of the latter configuration can be further increased and the air injection area can be more widened, so that the air can be effectively discharged from various directions, when viewed from the position of the fine dusts, although low pressure air is discharged, to thereby remove the dusts attached on the surface of the glass and film 20 or fine dusts floating as particles more easily.
[30] Accordingly, it is possible to perform the dust removal process more completely from the surface of the glass and the film 20, although high pressure air is not discharged through the large capacity motor, and to suppress the occurrence of the shaking phenomenon of the object to be removed of the dust due to the high discharge pressure of the air.
[31]
Industrial Applicability
[32] As described above, according to the structure of the air discharge opening in the dust removal nozzle of the present invention, it is possible to increase air volume discharged from the dust removal nozzle and widen an injection area by constructing a cross-section of the air discharge opening 40 for discharging the air in the dust removal nozzle 40 to have a "-" shape and/or a "w" shape. As a result, it is possible to emit air in various directions to thereby separate fine dusts effectively and reduce air discharge pressure, and to reduce noise produced from the discharge of the air and shaking phenomena of the dust removal object due to the discharge pressure so that a ratio of defective product may be reduced.
