Abstract

The invention relates to an undergage projectile (1) comprising a gaged shoe (2) made of at least three segments (2a, 2b, 2c) contacting each other two by two at junction planes (10a, 10b, 10c) and surrounding an undergage shaft (3) with a longitudinal axis (8). The projectile is characterised in that the segments (10a, 10b, 10c) are made so that the geometrical intersections (11, 12, 13) of their different junction planes (10a, 10b, 10c) are located away from the longitudinal axis (8) of the shaft, each segment thus having an asymmetric geometry. Application in the field of armament.
