Abstract

Cette invention concerne une toile de ponçage contenant du diamant et un procédé permettant de fabriquer une telle toile. La toile décrite dans cette invention comprend une étoffe de base et des particules de diamant. L'étoffe de base consiste en un treillis perméable aux liquides, une couche métallique est discrètement déposée sur sa première face et pénètre dans sa seconde face,ainsi, les particules de diamant sont noyées dans la couche métallique déposée sur sa première surface. Selon le mode de réalisation décrit dans l'invention, la face supérieure et la face inférieure du treillis de base sont recouvertes d'un matériau non conducteur, respectivement, de telle sorte que des lignes désordonnées et des lignes géométriques sont formées sur ledit treillis de base, lequel est ensuite trempé dans un bain d'électroplacage puis des particules de diamant sont noyées ou dispersées sur celui-ci, la couche de placage peut se former par électroplacage dans la couche de base métallique sur les points conducteurs espacés, puis des particules de diamants sont emprisonnées dans la couche métallique. En raison de leur blocage de haut en bas, les particules de diamant noyées dans l'étoffe de base présentent une meilleure résistance, la toile de ponçage ainsi formée résiste à l'abrasion et dure plus longtemps. En raison de la disposition espacée de la couche de base métallique sur la toile de ponçage, cette dernière présente une bonne souplesse, il est ainsi plus facile de poncer des pièces à usiner présentant une surface incurvée ou une surface plate.
