Abstract

Composition for stabilizing biological samples and method of stabilization. The present invention relates to a novel composition for stabilizing biological samples, in particular nucleic acids, which makes it possible to store them for several months without necessarily having to store them at low temperature. This composition comprises: - a deactivating agent, - a chaotropic agent and - a peptidase. In addition to these three constituents, the composition according to the invention may comprise a mild denaturing and solubilizing agent.
