Abstract

The invention is directed to novel substituted thiazole compounds. Specifically, the invention is directed to compounds according to Formula (I): wherein R1 and R2 are as defined below, and to pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof. The compounds are large conductance calcium-activated K channel (BKCa channel) openers, which can be used in the treatment of urinary conditions, including OAB. Accordingly, the invention is further directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of the invention. The invention is still further directed to methods of treating urinary conditions, such as OAB, using a compound of the invention or a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of the invention.
