Accordingly, with halved finishing agent such as polysiloxane with the addition of 1% of the wetting agent N, a further improved soil-repellent effect is achieved. The addition of 0.25% wetting agent N (combination AN ') did not provide improved resoiling inhibition.
- finishing agents A can also be formed on the basis of a perfluoroalkyl polyacrylate dispersion (A 1 ) or a fluoroalkyl-free, anionic polyacrylate dispersion (A ") which has been formulated with both (formulas AN, A 1 N and A). Abstract
The invention concerns a soil-repellent finishing agent (A), such as i.e. an agent containing polysiloxane for the soiling-inhibiting finishing for textile surfaces, particularly textile floor surfaces, optionally as a constituent of a carpet cleaning product, the product also containing a wetting agent (N) and/or an antistatic agent. The aim of the invention is to achieve, with the same proportion as contained in prior art products of soiling-inhibiting finishing agents such a polysiloxane in the cleaning product, an improvement in the soil-repellent action or, with a reduced proportion compared to that contained in the prior art of the finishing agent in the cleaning product, an at least identical soil-repellent action. To this end, the invention provides that the wetting agent (N) and/or antistatic agent is used as a cationic surfactant.
Description
Schmutzabweisendes Ausrüstungsmittel enthaltendes MittelA soil repellent finish containing agent
The invention relates to a dirt-repellent finishing agent, such as. Polysiloxane-containing agent for soil-inhibiting equipment for textile surfaces, in particular textile floor surfaces, optionally as part of a carpet cleaning agent, wherein the agent further contains a wetting agent and / or an antistatic.
Dirt-repellent finishes are known as part of antisoiling agents of textile surfaces. These are mostly based on fluorocarbons. Also fluoroalkyl-free products based on polysiloxanes or polyacrylates are known. EP 1 156 151 B1 describes an agent for dirt-inhibiting equipment for textile surfaces, which contains a carrier material and a solution of active substance which contains as a soil-inhibiting substance a fluorocarbon resin or a polysiloxane derivative or a combination thereof. This agent is used for the dirt-inhibiting equipment of textile surfaces, in particular textile floor coverings, as well as their cleaning.
In view of the above-described prior art, a technical problem of the invention is seen in such a refinement of a device of the kind in question improved so that with respect to the prior art equal proportion of dirt-inhibiting finishing agent such as polysiloxane in the detergent an improvement in dirt-repellent effect is achieved or in comparison with the prior art reduced proportion of the finishing agent in the cleaning agent at least the same dirt-repellent effect is achieved.
This problem is solved first and foremost by the subject matter of claim 1, wherein it is pointed out that as a wetting agent and / or Antistatic a cationic surfactant is used. Since the susceptibility of soiling of textile coverings depends, inter alia, on the surface properties of the fiber and the susceptibility to electrostatic charging, the addition of a synergistically acting wetting agent and antistatic agent is proposed. The wetting agent and antistatic agent used is a cationic surfactant. Cationic surfactants are substances which have a positively charged functional group. Like any surfactant, the cationic surfactants are composed of a polar and a nonpolar part. As nonpolar part serve various alkyl radicals. The polar group is usually a quarternary ammonium unit. The use of a surfactant in the form of a cationic surfactant achieves at least equal, even improved, antisoiling effects over detergents that include a polysiloxane or other antisoiling finish without such a proposed synergistic wetting agent. This even with a saving of up to 50% of the dirt-inhibiting equipment amount. Thus, for example, when halving the amount of equipment and an additive in the form of a cationic surfactant improved dirt-repellent effect in the order of 10 to 30% can be achieved.
The subjects of the further claims are explained below in relation to the subject matter of claim 1, but may also be significant in their independent formulation.
In a preferred embodiment, the cationic surfactant is a quaternary ammonium compound, so for example Dodexyl- or Hexadecyltrimethylammoni- umchlorid. With regard to the finishing agent, as an alternative to a polysiloxane, a fining agent based on a fluoroalkyl-free polyacrylate may also be provided. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the agent, ie the cleaning / soil-inhibiting agent to be applied to the textile surface to be finished, contains 0.01 to 10% by weight wetting agent Thus, in a preferred embodiment, 0.25-1 wt%. Experiments have shown good resoiling performance with the addition of 0.5% by weight of wetting agent or antistatic agent, more preferably halving the original amount of finishing agent. It can further be provided that the wetting agent is present with a solids content of 25-50%, so on, for example, 30-40%, preferably 36%. The amount of wetting agent corresponds in a development of the subject invention about 0.1 to 1 times the amount of the finishing agent. Thus, for example, at a 3% polysiloxane content 0.5% wetting agent is provided, whereby approximately the same re-soiling values are achieved, as in the case of agents which have a doubly high content of polysiloxane without wetting agent in the form of cationic surfactants. Accordingly, it proves to be advantageous if the amount of the wetting agent corresponds to one sixth to one third of the amount of the finishing agent, so on, for example, about one-twentieth to one-tenth of the total amount of the application means comprising the finishing agent and the wetting agent. This can be achieved by halving the amount of equipment with the addition of a wetting agent of about 10 - 20% of the dirt-inhibiting equipment amount improved by 10 - 30% dirt-repellent effect.
Fig. 2 ein Balkendiagramm zur Darstellung der synergistischen Wirkung eines Netzmittels und eines Polysiloxans bei der Wiederanschmutzungs- hemmung im Vergleich zu einem Standard-Teppichreinigungsmittels ohne Ausrüstungsmittel;Fig. 1 is a graph showing resoiling inhibition of a carpet cleaner having different levels of antisoiling finish compared to a standard carpet cleaner without finish; FIG. 2 is a bar graph illustrating the synergistic effect of a wetting agent and a polysiloxane in antiredermination inhibition compared to a standard carpet deterrent without finishing agent; FIG.
Fig. 3 ein weiteres Balkendiagramm zur Darstellung der Wiederanschmut- zungshemmung im Vergleich zu einem unbehandelten Teppich bei Verwendung verschiedener schmutzhemmender Ausrüstungsmittel mit einem vorgeschlagenen Netzmittel im Vergleich zu den schmutz- hemmenden Ausrüstungsmitteln ohne Netzmittel.FIG. 3 is another bar graph illustrating resumption inhibition as compared to an untreated carpet using various antisoiling finishing agents with a proposed wetting agent as compared to antisoiling antisoiling equipments.
Wiederanschmutzung erfolgen. The determination of the soiling behavior of new, initially treated or cleaned carpets provides information on how a cleaning agent influences the resoiling behavior in comparison to an untreated carpet or a carpet treated with another cleaning agent. Depending on the nature of the cleaning agent, increased, neutral or delayed soiling or re-soiling may occur.
Resistance to sticking again indicates whether a cleaning agent combined with a finishing agent protects the carpet fibers in such a way that dry dirt adheres less to the carpet pile and contaminates it much less than with an untreated carpet.
The correction factor comparison to a standard non-stain neutralizer antisagging finish formulation indicates whether a recipe exhibits a stronger (negative value) or lower (positive value) stain than this standard formulation. Accordingly, a large positive difference describes a strong dirt-repellent effect. If the difference is negative, there is a stronger re-soiling compared to the reference recipe. The antiredeposition inhibition of a carpet cleaner having different proportions of a polysiloxane (Finishing Agent A) compared to a standard carpet cleaner without finishing agent was determined (see Fig. 1) to determine the course of the dependency. Differences from 0.5 ΔE are perceived optically.
A formulation with a 44% level of finishing agent A has a resistance to staining of 4.7 ΔE compared to a standard formula without finishing. Accordingly, a strong dirt-repellent effect is achieved. A linear dependence is given up to a proportion of polysiloxane A to 8% with a Wiederanschmutzungshemmung of 3.2 ΔE.
Fig. 2). It proves to be advantageous to use the smallest possible amount of finishing agent A. The synergistic effect of a combination of finishing agent A and a wetting agent N and antistatic enhances resistance to re-soiling (see Fig. 2). If the wetting agent N and antistatic agents without finishing agent A are used in a formulation, resistance to re-soiling of 1.1 or 1.6 ΔE is achieved with 1% (N) or 4% (N ') addition. This means that a concentration increased by a factor of 4 causes only a small increase in the activity by 0.5 ΔE.
A formulation with 6% polysiloxane content A has a repellency inhibition of 2.3 ΔE. However, a combination of AN 3% polysiloxane A with 0.5% of the wetting agent N and antistatic achieves resistance to re-soiling in approximately the same range, specifically about 2.4 ΔE If the wetting agent N and antistatic agent become 1% added, so Residue inhibition further improves to 2.7 ΔE (combination AN). Accordingly, with halved finishing agent such as polysiloxane with the addition of 1% of the wetting agent N, a further improved soil-repellent effect is achieved. The addition of 0.25% wetting agent N (combination AN ') did not provide improved resoiling inhibition.
Alternativ können die Ausrüstungsmittel A auch auf Basis einer Perfluoralkyl- polyacrylatdispersion (A1) bzw. einer fluoralkylfreien, anionischen Polyacrylat- dispersion (A") gebildet sein. Mittels dieser Rezepturen wurde sowohl mit (Re- zepturen AN, A1N und A"N) als auch ohne Netzmittel und Antistatikum (Rezepturen A, A1, A") das jeweilige Wiederanschmutzungsverhalten bestimmt (vgl. Fig. 3). Alternatively, the finishing agents A can also be formed on the basis of a perfluoroalkyl polyacrylate dispersion (A 1 ) or a fluoroalkyl-free, anionic polyacrylate dispersion (A ") which has been formulated with both (formulas AN, A 1 N and A). N) as well as without wetting agent and antistatic (formulations A, A 1 , A ") determines the respective resoiling behavior (see Fig. 3) .The ΔE value of an untreated carpet section is set as the reference value 100% and the soiling depths of the further samples thereto set in proportion.
It can be seen from the bar diagram in FIG. 3 that in each case the 1% addition of the wetting agent N markedly enhances the effectiveness of the finishing agents A, A 1 , A "used, in the example formulations AN, A 1 N and A" shown. N by 4 - 6%.
The proposed formulation with 3% finishing agent A, especially polysiloxane, and 0.5% -1% wetting agent N reduces the number of cleaning cycles on the carpet used by about half.
Das Reinigungsmittel enthält bevorzugt folgende Bestandteile zu folgenden Anteilen:The cleaning agent preferably contains the following constituents for the following proportions:
