Abstract

Consta de un recipiente (1) que alberga la sustancia activa líquida a difundir, tal como una fragancia, insecticida u otros, a través de una membrana transpirable (2) que cierra el recipiente (1) y consta de una pieza porosa (3) ubicada en disposición próxima y paralela a la membrana transpirable (2) al objeto de impedir la deformación de la membrana (2) cuando se produce el vacío como consecuencia del vaciado del recipiente (1). La pieza porosa (3) dispone de una serie de aberturas (4) a través de las cuales atraviesa el líquido para garantizar su contacto con la membrana (2) en todo momento para su evaporación homogénea y ocupa parte del volumen del recipiente (1) absorbiendo las sustancias activas, quedando retenidas en dicha pieza porosa (3) los componentes no volátiles una vez vaciado el recipiente (1) de componentes volátiles.

CONTENEDOR DE SUSTANCIAS ACTIVAS
D E S C R I P C I Ó N
OBJETO DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención se refiere a un contenedor empleado para Ia difusión de sustancias activas, tales como fragancias, insecticidas y otros, almacenadas en estado líquido que se difunden en estado gaseoso a través de una membrana transpirable.
Es objeto de Ia invención disponer convenientemente en el contenedor un elemento que evite Ia deformación de Ia membrana cuando ésta se curva por efecto del vacío que se produce al salir el líquido almacenado en el contenedor sin que se produzca entrada de aire, así como que dicho elemento ocupe un espacio en el contenedor reduciendo parte de Ia cámara de aire en su interior, y al mismo tiempo facilite el paso del líquido hacia Ia membrana a fin de que ésta se encuentre siempre en contacto con el líquido para su difusión homogénea.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN
Los dispositivos difusores de sustancias activas que son empleados para difundir fragancias, insecticidas u otros en el ambiente, pueden incorporar un depósito contenedor en el que se aloja Ia sustancia volátil que cuenta con una membrana porosa que permite el paso del vapor de dicha sustancia pero no el paso del líquido.
Se distinguen una serie de problemas relativos a Ia fabricación y funcionamiento de este tipo de dispositivos tal y como se describen a continuación
Durante el proceso de llenado Ia sustancia líquida que se introduce en el contenedor puede salpicar Ia zona del contenedor sobre Ia que se suelda Ia membrana ocasionando una humedad que afecta a Ia obtención de una soldadura adecuada. Esta circunstancia determina que Ia membrana pueda llegar a despegarse produciéndose por tanto una pérdida de líquido.
Para evitar las salpicaduras en Ia zona de soldadura se recurre a llenar los contenedores con menor volumen al previsto obteniendo una cámara de aire en el interior del contenedor de tamaño considerable. Esta circunstancia supone que el usuario tenga Ia sensación de adquirir un producto incompleto en el que se ha gastado parte del líquido.
Otra solución para evitar el problema de estas salpicaduras no deseadas consiste en aumentar Ia viscosidad de los productos a evaporar, empleando geles o líquidos muy viscosos, con el consecuente problema de que estos productos presentan un residuo no volátil importante.
Otro problema relacionado con este tipo de dispositivos se refiere al hecho de que durante Ia evaporación de Ia sustancia se genera el vacío en el interior del re.cipiente, debido a que no hay entrada de aire. Se produce así un rechupado de Ia membrana que supone que se curve hacia el interior llegando a generarse unas tensiones que podrían ocasionar Ia rotura de Ia misma por su zona de unión al recipiente.
En esta situación el volumen del recipiente disminuye al deformarse la membrana por Io que el consumidor podría observar un mismo nivel de líquido o incluso superior al inicial al compararlo con el volumen útil alterado del recipiente. Esto supone que no se pueda apreciar una evolución gradual de su uso.
Por otra parte durante Ia evaporación el nivel de líquido va variando y por tanto Ia superficie de contacto de Ia membrana con el líquido va disminuyendo Io que se traduce en una menor velocidad de evaporación. La disminución en Ia evaporación durante Ia vida del producto se traduce en una depreciación en la funcionalidad del mismo y el consumidor observa que el rendimiento es considerablemente menor que al principio. Otro problema se refiere a que los sistemas de membrana solamente son permeables a las sustancias volátiles y no al resto de componentes que forman parte de Ia sustancia que son empleadas para modificar su viscosidad, protectores del color, antioxidantes, colorantes y otros. Estos productos quedan en el interior del recipiente cuando el líquido volátil se ha evaporado por completo dificultando Ia apreciación por parte del consumidor final de cuando ha finalizado su uso ya que sigue observando en el interior del recipiente un resto no evaporado.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN
El contenedor de sustancias volátiles que constituye el objeto de esta invención viene a resolver Ia problemática expuesta mediante Ia incorporación de una pieza interna porosa rígida detrás de Ia membrana permeable a través de Ia que se difunde Ia sustancia volátil almacenada en un recipiente constitutivo del contenedor.
La pieza interna porosa, que puede ser por ejemplo de celulosa, plástico poroso, cerámica u otros, se sitúa paralela a Ia membrana y próxima a ésta, de tal modo que permite soportar y evitar Ia deformación de Ia membrana cuando ésta se curva por efecto del vacío que se produce al salir el líquido almacenado en el recipiente.
El recipiente incorpora un receptáculo perimetral concebido para facilitar el alojamiento de dicha pieza porosa.
Asimismo es de destacar que Ia pieza interna porosa dispone de una serie de aberturas que facilitan el paso del líquido en todo momento hacia la membrana al objeto de que ésta se encuentre completamente mojada en toda su superficie determinando una evaporación de Ia sustancia hacia el exterior más homogénea y regular en todo momento, no habiendo diferencias entre el principio y el final.
La pieza porosa ocupa parte del volumen que anteriormente en otros dispositivos constituía Ia cámara de aire que se dejaba en el proceso de llenado, observándose el espacio del recipiente destinado a albergar líquido prácticamente lleno. La capacidad de retener más o menos cantidad de líquido por parte de Ia pieza porosa viene determinada por el tipo de material y tamaño de poro seleccionado.
La porosidad del material que conforma Ia pieza permite albergar Ia parte no volátil correspondiente a los componentes adicionales de Ia sustancia tales como estabilizantes, conservantes y colorantes, por Io que cuando finalice el uso del contenedor, dichos componentes serán absorbidos por Ia pieza porosa y en el interior del contenedor no se observará sustancia líquida alguna, constituyendo un indicativo claramente visible para el usuario de Ia finalización de uso del contenedor.
Por otra parte Ia pieza porosa puede evitar posibles salpicaduras que podrían caer sobre Ia zona de soldadura durante el llenado del recipiente, sin mas que depositar dicha pieza sobre esta zona a fin de absorber el líquido. De esta forma se consigue librar de contaminación líquida esta zona garantizando un adecuado sellado de Ia membrana sobre el recipiente.
La pieza porosa permite además incluir una impresión que puede ser un logo o cualquier otra imagen o texto de interés desde el punto de vista de marketing que será visible a través de un recipiente transparente.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUJOS
Para complementar Ia descripción que se está realizando y con objeto de ayudar a una mejor comprensión de las características de Ia invención, de acuerdo con un ejemplo preferente de realización práctica de Ia misma, se acompaña como parte integrante de dicha descripción, un juego de dibujos en donde con carácter ilustrativo y no limitativo, se ha representado Io siguiente:

REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓN
El contenedor de sustancias activas que constituye el objeto de esta invención es del tipo del los que constan de un recipiente (1) que alberga Ia sustancia activa líquida a difundir, tal como una fragancia, insecticida u otros, compuesta de componentes volátiles y otros componentes no volátiles, a través de una membrana transpirable (2) que cierra el recipiente (1) y permite el paso de los componentes volátiles en estado gaseoso.
A partir de esta configuración el contenedor de sustancias activas destaca fundamentalmente porque comprende una pieza porosa (3) ubicada en disposición próxima y paralela a Ia membrana transpirable (2) al objeto de impedir Ia deformación de Ia membrana (2) cuando se produce el vacío como consecuencia del vaciado del recipiente (1), así como Ia pieza porosa (3) dispone de una serie de aberturas (4) a través de las cuales atraviesa el líquido para garantizar su contacto con Ia membrana (2) en todo momento para su evaporación homogénea.
Se ha previsto que el recipiente (1) disponga de un escalonamiento perimetral (5) destinado a alojar Ia pieza porosa (3) que ocupa parte del volumen del recipiente (1) absorbiendo las sustancias activas, quedando retenidas en dicha pieza porosa (3) los componentes no volátiles una vez vaciado el recipiente (1) de componentes volátiles. Se contempla asimismo que el recipiente (1) sea transparente y que la pieza porosa (3) disponga de una impresión o relieve (6) en su cara superior o inferior con dibujos o leyendas publicitarias.

R E I V I N D I C A C I O N E S
1.- Contenedor de sustancias activas del tipo de los que constan de un recipiente
(1) que alberga Ia sustancia activa líquida a difundir, tal como una fragancia, insecticida u otros, a través de una membrana transpirable (2) que cierra el recipiente (1) y permite el paso de los componentes volátiles en estado gaseoso, caracterizado porque comprende una pieza porosa (3) ubicada en disposición próxima y paralela a Ia membrana transpirable (2) al objeto de impedir Ia deformación de Ia membrana (2) cuando se produce el vacío como consecuencia del vaciado del recipiente (1).
2.- Contenedor de sustancias activas según reivindicación 1 caracterizado porque Ia pieza porosa (3) dispone de una serie de aberturas (4) a través de las cuales atraviesa el líquido para garantizar su contacto con Ia membrana (2) en todo momento para su evaporación homogénea.
3.- Contenedor de sustancias activas según reivindicaciones 1 ó 2, caracterizado porque el recipiente (1) dispone de un escalonamiento perimetral (5) destinado a alojar Ia pieza porosa (3) que ocupa parte del volumen del recipiente (1 ) absorbiendo las sustancias activas, quedando retenidas en dicha pieza porosa (3) los componentes no volátiles de Ia sustancia una vez vaciado el recipiente (1 ) de componentes volátiles de Ia sustancia.
4.- Contenedor de sustancias activas según reivindicaciones 1 ó 2, caracterizado porque el recipiente (1) es transparente y Ia pieza porosa (3) dispone de un relieve
(6) en su cara superior o inferior con dibujos o leyendas publicitarias.
